As classic as it gets.

The Patagonia Men's Synchilla Snap-T Fleece Pullover is about as classic as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. And like a solid PB&J, the Snap-T is designed to withstand just about anything and everything you throw at it—including jelly from the sandwich itself. This classic fleece goes back to the first days of Patagonia (think 1985) so you know it's built to last. Additionally, the heavyweight fleece offers steadfast warmth, while the four-snap placket easily unsnaps, so you're able to cool off quickly should the temperatures begin to rise. Y-Joint sleeves provide unimpeded mobility in the shoulders and arms, and the chest pocket keeps small necessities secure and close at hand.

  • Heavyweight fleece is warm and bluesign approved

When can I get a size L again?
Oatmeal Heather color

I apologize Jaeho, but it looks like we do not have any on order. It may be a discontinued color or we may not get more until next year.

Heavy weight felt warm.

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

This jacket was great. The only reason I returned it was because it was too heavyweight for me. I like very light jackets and never wear anything to heavy.

The Fleece Standard

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Small

I bought this for my brother for Christmas and this is what he had to say:

The Snap-T is the standard that all Fleece pullovers should be held to. Bomber synchilla fleece that has a soft feel, but will take a huge amount of abuse and last the test of time (assuming you’re not a total idiot and don’t take a knife to it). Y-jointed sleeves make for dexterous arm movements so you can have full range of motion from bouldering and scrambling to being able to reach whatever you need on the top shelve. The elastic cuffs on the sleeves and waist are a nice add too, keeps the cold out. The fact that most of the fleece is recycle is just an awesome cherry on top.

As for sizing I don’t like a lot of extra bulk in my top layers so I sized down to a small from my normal medium like other reviews have suggested and I’m happy I did.

I wear it All. The. Time.

Super comfy, a bit slouchy, two thumbs up.

The best

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Synchillas are hands down one of the most comfortable items I have ever owned, polyester fleece that is made of high quality also makes it great for the colder months. There's a reason Synchillas have been around for many decades! They are truly the best, they do however run a little large, I would recommend going down a size.

So Cozy!

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Wow - purchased this fleece in Oatmeal Heather as a gift for my dad this christmas and am super impressed with the quality. I tried it on myself (obviously way too big) but so soft, so warm, and so cozy. I ended up going to the Patagonia website and buying one in an XS for myself because the women's colors aren't that great and they only have lightweight Synchilla fleece's.

Classic

Classic look. Usual Patagonia high quality. Great buy

    Great gift

I recently bought this as a birthday gift for my brother. He wears it all the time and loves it. Can't go wrong with a classic Patagonia Fleece.

      Nice all purpose fleece

I’m a binge dude. This fleece fits me well. Patagonia quality. Cool looks and these things hold up supper well. I’d recommend to anyone.

      I'm quite pleased.

      Extra layer

Great to layer on the cold days ahead.

        Comfort is Key

        • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I bought this a gift for my boyfriend. He has always wanted one of these because it is well known to be super comfortable. Sure enough, it was! He loves his pull over. Whenever it is chilly out he throws this on and is warm even during most brisk mornings. Definitely make this purchase if you're looking for something easy, warm and comfortable.

          Sizing Issues?

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times
          • Fit: True to size

Normally I wouldn't write a review about a fleece. After all, a fleece is pretty much a fleece. Several reviewers for this item have indicated a problem with the sizing; They feel that it runs too large.
I ordered and received the Patagonia synchilla and found that it runs true to size. I am 5'8" and 165 pounds. So I purchased my usual medium size (despite the warnings to go a size smaller) and found that the medium works perfectly for me. It is slightly oversized, so if you're looking for a tight-fitting garment, then you might want to go a size smaller. Otherwise no, many people don't want a tight-fitting fleece.

          • Size Bought: Medium

I recently bought a synchilla and it has instantly become my go to pullover. It is really soft and comfortable. I like that it’s light weight and super warm, it reduces wind chill as well. I spend a lot of time outdoors, and while I wouldn’t call this item “packable”, it’s definitely my go to for sitting by the fire at base camp. I bought a medium because I wanted a more athletic style fit and I got exactly what I was hoping for. I’m 5’8 170lbs, if your looking for a more relaxed fit, go with your true size for sweatshirts. See you in the wild places!

If you live in cold weather...

If you live in a place like Maine or New Hampshire ... in the winter and you want to stay warm ... this is the right piece of gear for you. Very warm.

          Rust Never Sleeps

          • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
          • Fit: Runs large
          • Size Bought: Medium

I've been wanting one of these for a while. Used to have a hand-me-down that was cool except that it was purple and I hate purple. So anyway, at half-price buying a new one (not purple) was a bit of a no-brainer. I went with the Roots Red, which is definitely more of an orange. Basically it looks like rust. Pretty autumnal, but that's fine by me.
Regarding sizing, which seems to be the white whale of synchilla satisfaction, I think it depends on intended use. I wanted something to wear over a t-shirt, or over a t-shirt/long-sleeved collared shirt combo, but also something that could fit under a coat, denim jacket, whatever. I'm typically stuck between a medium and large in all clothing (I can go either way, you know?) and chose to size down and go with a medium on this. It's perfect for the aforementioned uses, and a large would have been much too baggy. Sleeves are a good length, a bit bulky in the underarms, and the elastic is a bit tight in the waist, but that's how it is.
Bonus is that Patagonia is a cool company. Backcountry isn't half bad either!
