Commute without the cold.

Remember the days when staying warm in the winter meant big nylon puffer jackets? That was before the soft wearing, low-bulk warmth of the Patagonia Silent Down Park-Women's. One of the softest down coats Patagonia's ever made, this parka's polyester shell is smooth and comfortable to the touch, with a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) treatment to shed snow and other light winter precipitation. On the inside it's packed with 700-fill recycled down for breathable and lightweight warmth in harsh winter conditions. Its parka length is perfect for city commuters who don't want to wear three pairs of leggings to keep their legs warm. A two way zipper lets you open the parka from the top or bottom, so you can easily open it up when you enter stuffy subway cars. You've also got a stowaway hood that you can fold into the collar on clear days and easily zip out to wear when the forecast proves false.

  • A soft-wearing down insulated parka for cold commutes
  • 700-fill recycled down offers full-body warmths in cold climates
  • Soft fabric repels light precipitation and offers mobility
  • Two-way zipper lets you open from the top or bottom
  • Stowaway hood hides in collar then reappears with bad weather
  • Internal zippered pocket keeps phone or wallet safe

SOOOO soft

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

This jacket is amazing! The fabric is sooooo soft and comphy. The jacket fits really well and cozy. It's on the tighter side, but looks nice and causual. The zipped hood is prime, love that it can be hidden without getting lost inthe mudroom!

Short Sleeves!

  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

This jacket had all the necessary specs to make it a winner in the warm winter jacket arena - but I was very disappointed.

I am very tall and thin (5’9 and 135 lbs) so the slim fit was appealing, but the sleeves were short. Not just a little short - several inches short. In hindsite, you can tell by the model’s photo. (I ordered a small). I went to the patagonia store and tried on several other jackets for size and none had the same problem. I even tried on the medium- still short in the sleeves. If you are short and thin, this would probably be a great jacket for you. If you are tall- look elsewhere! Marmot makes sleeves with plenty of length.

Short sleeve length

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Size Bought: XS

This jacket would be absolutely perfect if it weren't for the abnormally short sleeves. I'm 5'8" and the sleeves end 3/4 of the way down my forearm. Sad to have to return.

not for a pear shaped woman

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: large

I ordered a L based on the "find your fit" and the jacket was beautiful in color, feel, length; BUT, I think this is for super straight and lean women even in a large. I had my second baby a year ago and am around a size 10-12 right now and the top was too loose but the butt area was super tight, so it is going back. Not for a pear shaped body at all.
