A Jack of All Trades.

Make your day hike or bike commute into work all the more amenable with the Patagonia Lightweight Black Hole 26L Backpack. Designed to transition between your urban and trail-bound pursuits, this pack features enough room for all of your essentials—be it snacks and rain gear, or simply your laptop, lunch, and change of clothes after your bike commute to work.

The lightweight and highly tenacious nylon ripstop features a TPU film and DWR treatment that safeguards your gear from abrasive obstacles, moisture, errant coffee spills, or dog drool (Fido's a bit reckless with his jowls). The shoulder straps are equipped with a breathable mesh fabric for unimpeded comfort, and an adjustable sternum strap helps stabilize the load. The panel-loading design makes this pack hydration compatible (reservoir not included) while the zippered main compartment provides quick access to items such as groceries or a reflective vest. Not to mention, a zippered stash pocket is ideal for items like a train pass or house keys, and the stretch-mesh side pockets are more than happy to accommodate a small bottle of wine or a glass bomber filled with your favorite IPA.

  • Waffle between trail and urban pursuits with this pack
  • Lightweight fabric is highly durable and abrasion-resistant
  • TPU-film laminate and DWR treatment fend off moisture
  • Breathable shoulder straps and back panel for comfort
  • Generous main compartment is hydration compatible
  • Zippered stash pocket keeps small items secure

    Just Right!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I really like the Patagonia black hole bags, and this pack is no exception. Durability and water resistance are two features that set this pack apart. Fit and function make this pack perfect for all of your daily outdoor activities.

    Perfect Daypack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

When I first purchased this pack, I was looking for something that I could take on short bike commutes and could also be used as a daypack or on hikes with the dog.

This one ended up being perfect! The size works well and holds so much more than you'd think. It's minimal and lightweight and is quickly becoming one of my favorite packs to use day-to-day. The straps are comfy and the build seems durable. It still looks brand new with how much I've used it and I'm excited to carry it on more adventures to come!

    Small but mighty!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Love this pack! We take gear-heavy trips frequently and usually only have 60-90L bags for the weekend. This pack is great to roll up and shove in a big bag for use as a day pack, snack bag, or just to keep a change of clothes. It's durable and weather resistant while still being incredibly lightweight. The pack doesn't hold its shape as well as the standard black hole bags, but as a result it's much more packable. So far I'm loving this bag!

    Great Daypack for All Uses

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I started using this pack as a pack for casual fly fishing days and its great! It fits way more than it initially looks and sits really well on the back.

I have also taken it on a trail run and used it to carry my work computer. Multiversatile with the bomber construction of the Black Hole style.

    Good Pack for School

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The thing i like the most about this pack are the side pockets, i feel like they could fit a million things. Its pretty much the perfect size for commuting or going to school because you don't have some bulky bag but a sleek pack with just the right features.

    little big backpack

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

it looked small when i took it out of the bag but it fits everything i need for my commute to work. solid pack for everyday use

    How to Measure:
    Torso:
-Have a friend locate the bony bump at the base of your neck, where the slope of your shoulder meets your neck. This is your 7th cervical vertebra (C7). Tilt your head forward to locate it more easily. This is the top of your torso length.
-Place your hands on top of your hips bones, with fingers point forward, thumbs in back. This it eh "shelf" on which your pack will rest. The middle of an imaginary line drawn between your thumbs is the bottom of your torso length.
-Using the tape measure, your friend should measure the distance between the C7 and the imaginary line between your thumbs. Be sure you stand up straight when being measured. You know should have your torso length.
    Waist:
Measure around your waist just above your hips.
