The cold doens't slow you down.

As expected, it’s a frigid morning on the first chair, but you don’t really notice in the Patagonia Insulated Powder Bowl Pant. Ready for powder pockets and fresh corduroy, the durable (now recycled) 2-layer Gore-Tex and 60g of Thermogreen keep you dry and warm when you need it most. With articulated knees for ease of movement and ankle gaiters to seal out snow, you can move around with ease to collect a stray ski or mitten after a yardsale, all without putting a damper on your day. Just don’t forget to unzip the mesh-lined thigh vents to dump heat while you’re hiking up. A rear yoke at the back of the pants attaches to the powder skirt on any Patagonia Snow Jacket to add some protection on extra-deep days.

  • Insulated ski and snowboard pant for chilly resort days
  • Durable 2-layer Gore-Tex protects from moisture seeping through
  • Thermogreen insulation stays warm even when wet for peak comfort
  • Mesh-lined thigh vents dump heat after high intensity shred
  • Gaiters seal out snow to keep ankles dry and comfortable
  • Articulated knees provide effortless movement
  • Patagonia is dedicated to sustainable outdoor products

Too big and baggy.

  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: Medium

These are well-made ski pants with great features, but they run big and are pretty baggy overall. I prefer a less baggy pant so my pants don't get caught on gear. I had to return them, and because of the bagginess, won't be sizing down.

LOVE

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: large (too big)

Love these pants but were a touch too big so exchanged for a medium and they were PERFECT!

Thanks for taking the time to write a review and help out other people know they run a little big!

Stay warm my friends!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: S

These are the perfect resort snow pants. The temps at Jackson were in single digits in the morning and my legs were perfectly warm. The Small was a tad small for a curvier girl. Not much stretch so stick to the size guide for comfortable mobility on the mountain.

Stay warm my friends!

Perfegonia

    So nice.

    Perfegonia

    Perfegonia in every way.

    • Size Bought: small

This are perfect. Quality, check. Features, check. The fit was good for me. I'm not super curvy or super straight, just average. I'm 5'8, 135 and got the small. They fit my waist and butt and without being tight in the thighs. So, I was happy with the over-all fit.

I wore these on a snowy day, but it wasn't super cold. The insulation in these pants kept me really comfortable, so I only needed a base layer and shell, up top, which was awesome.

I will highly recommend these pants.

    Perfegonia in every way.

    Great pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Small

Very happy with my new ski pants. I am 5’5 and 125lb. Small perfect for me. Great pockets, vent. A little long when wearing street shoes but length perfect in ski boots.

    Best Pants for the East

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: Runs large
    • Size Bought: Medium

Just got the Powder Bowl Insulated pants for my fiancé and she says “best pants for the east”. With the ever changing humidity levels the cold days can be brutal. She just spend 3 days in 0 degree weather (first time she ever skied below 10 degrees) and loved her time out on the hill. She was warm the entire time even with the wind chill. She loved the warmth, amount of pockets, style of pants. It is not a slim fit nor is it baggy. Has enough room to maneuver and she is not swimming in it either. Actually she normally wears a L Patagonia pant but in the insulated powder bowl she exchanged them for a M there was way to much room even with the adjusted waist tabs synchro tight. Exchanging them was incredibly easy working with a gear head. This has opened up a whole new experience for her skiing. Bring on the cold for those bitter east coast days.

    awesome pants

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size

These are an awesome insulated pant with great venting for the ski area. Waterproofing/breathability is amazing, even in super wet spring storms. Great fit and features.

    Shred Ready!

My girlfriend has these and she says: With the amount of snow Utah has gotten this year, I was very grateful to have these Patagonia Powder Bowl Pants and have been impressed by their durability and functionality throughout the season. They pair and integrate well with the Powder Bowl Jacket with a snap on the back and powder skirt to keep the snow out. The outside leg vents are great to keep airflow moving through but I do wish they also inner thigh for cross ventilation.

      the best!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: xs

love these pants! tested them in the harshest weather conditions in Japan and they never faltered. My only issue is that I only have one pair! They aren't cheap but they keep you warm and dry in the harshest weather conditions and that alone is worth the price when shredding the mountain!

      Perfect!

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size
      • Size Bought: Large

These pants are excellent in both fit and function. I'm a curvy athletic girl, size 10 and the Large was perfect with plenty of room to layer under if needed. We haven't had a below 20 degree day yet, and they were plenty warm without an extra layer. Excellent quality. Like the addition of a discreet back pocket (new this year over ly design) and ventilation locations on outer thigh. Super high quality, as you'd expect for this brand and price.

      Best Snowpant Ever

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I LOVE these. They are very well made and indestructible.

Quality: These are made for lots of use. They are the only ski pants I have ever had that I don't end up cutting up the bottoms on my edges. They don't look worn at all after a full season of use, even in the Goldenrod color, which is light and awesome looking.

Waterproof: I tested these in pretty much the harshest environment for moisture....The Cascades. I've never had these soak through, which is a first. They were solid when I had to teach ski lessons all day in solid downpour rain.

Warmth: These are super warm without being bulky. I was skeptical of having insulated pants at first, but am super glad to have these. It's great to be able to sit on the snow and not be cold.

Fit: I am 5'5" and around 130. Small fits great.

Area for improvement: The only thing I would change on these is the button at the top. I think it would be better with some sort of clasp that can't pop open. Occasionally the button pops open on these. Still not a biggy. ( And pretty standard on most ski pants anyways)

      Patagonia, nuff said

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I LOVE these pants. I'm 5'3", 120lbs and I ordered a size small they fit great. The Gortex feature was well worth the money and the insulation keeps me warm on the hill. The elastic adjustment on the inside of the pants is really nice. I ended up getting a similar Patagonia jacket once I realized how nice the pants were.

      How to Measure:
Measurements refer to body size, not garment dimensions. For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
      Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
      Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
      Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
      Inseam:
Inseam will vary depending on style; when lengths are offered, "short" is 30, "regular" is 32 and "long" is 33. Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
