This shirt offers some awesome features that make it perfect on the water, yet has a styling that is still right at home with your favorite pair of blue jeans or chino shorts.
First of all I really dig the chest pockets, the zippered side access pocket is pretty roomy and will fit your midge boxes and/or tippet well. More importantly the pocket is sewn flush; expanding inside, which doesn't bulk up the front like some other fishing shirts. It's nothing revolutionary, but definitely a nice touch.
I am really liking the feel of this shirt, the nylon/ tencel blend is very nice, and tencel is a 100% sustainable fabric made from wood cellulose. This also lends the shirt to it's quick drying properties. I was drenched by a big wave when fishing shortly before this pic, after an hour or two in the sun the shirt was pretty much dry. As a fishing shirt this is definite plus.
I am wearing the medium, it gives me a lot more shoulder room to cast and land fish, although I believe the small may have been a slightly better fit" cut wise. I am 5'6" and about 155lbs, so I tend to fall right between small - and - medium, which means the shirt is pretty true to size. It did however shrink a bit so that's something to keep in mind.
I thought the reflective cuffs and collar were a cool add on, and they should come in handy if your buddy is looking for you in camp once the sun goes down, or when y'all stay that extra hour at the river to fish the big evening caddis hatch.
All and all this is a killer buttondown for your technical wardrobe, that has some great casual appeal, pick one up for the season and I'm sure you will love it! If you have any questions about this or anything else, just throw me a line!

Thanks for the helpful review and picture! However, the color/pattern you're wearing looks different than any of the available options. Is it a limited edition/older version?

Stephen, good eye my man! This is actually a fall colorway that we should see on the shelves here in a few months. the awesome guys over at Patagonia sent me this one to demo for the summer and it has been a great shirt on and off the water so far.
