Why We Like the Essential 6in Boxer Brief

For everyday comfort and sweat-wicking performance, we pull on the Essential 6in Boxer Brief. Whether we’re roaming the city or scrambling up our favorite trail, the stretchy material moves with us and is less susceptible to odors, so we can get away with wearing them a few days in a row, as long as you don’t tell our SO.

  • Classic boxer brief for supportive moisture-control on and off trail
  • Eco-friendly Tencel fabric is soft, durable, and ultra breathable
  • Close-to-body fit reduces uncomfortable bunching
  • Six-inch inseam helps fight against chaffing

just ok...

I love Patagonia as a company so much, but this underwear is a tad too long - gets a bit hot too. I'd recommend Icebreaker over this for a premium wool option, they are now my go-to. Love patagonia for everything else.e

Comfortable is an understatement

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought two of these and I can honestly say that they are the most comfortable underwear I have ever worn. I will definitely be buying more since they are on sale at the moment. The moisture-wicking properties are nice as well. I'm not a fan of the 100% spandex athletic briefs that other brands have and I feel like these Patagonia briefs work just as well without being uncomfortable. I am 5'8" 140lbs so I'm pretty skinny and the mediums fit me perfectly.

Great boxers!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Super comfy and light undies. They don't seem to stay quite as dry as other "high performance" offerings from other major brands, but they are way softer and more comfortable for daily use. 4 stars for now until I have a few months to make sure they are durable enough to hold up over time. Can't wait for them to come on sale again!
