Most comfortable

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

These shirts are the most comfortable shirts I have ever worn. I love them. The only negative is that they sometimes need to be ironed after washing. To me, this is nothing when compared with the comfort and style.

Are they windmills?

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

That is what everyone keeps asking me. Honestly I am not sure what the design on the shirt is but the feel and fit are great. This shirt is versatile, you can were it out to dinner or out on the trail.

Perfect shirt

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: large

This is my perfect shirt. Size L fits perfectly at 6' 180lbs w/ broad shoulders. I took this shirt to europe this summer. It was stylish, comfortable, and resisted odors pretty darn well. I'm sorry to see its being discontinued, I will grab another while i still can.

Nice fabric but just a little small

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: LArge

I've always worn a size L in all Patagonia tops, but this shirt is a bit tight. Not so tight that I'll return it, but I wish it was just a tad roomier. The fabric is great – light weight, breathable, comfortable. It feels very high quality.

Light, Breathable Summer Shirt

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I bought this shirt for my boyfriend and he loves it for all summer occasions, whether he is going to work or going to the bars, it can be dressed up or down and is super breathable and light for hot summer days. As with most Patagonia products, it is high quality, fits really well, and looks good with just about anything.

Back Step Shirt

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: M

I ordered in "Owens Navy Blue". Size L, which I normally wear in a shirt, swallowed me up, so swapped for M which is barely big enough. Maybe the L received was really an XL?

Beautiful shirt, most men would look good in this color, I may buy another. Customer Service guys were intelligent, courteous and fast to answer phone and solve all issues with exchange. The bearded goat people of UT at BackCountry.com shipped the original and exchange order to arrive in two days.

One guy in this review forum complained that this shirt came outta the dryer wrinkled. So hang it up. Secret to getting a shirt to last 10-15 years, always hang up to dry. Dryer lint is your clothing coming apart.

breezy shirt for warmer weather

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

This shirt has a really nice loose fit with good movement. Perfect for those warmer months! The material feels and behaves kind of like linen.

Shirt Review

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: L

Great shirt. I've worn it a few times now and it fits well, and looks good. True to size and I didn't notice much shrinking after washing it.

Summer shirt but wrinkles easily

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

The shirt is comfortable and wears light for warm weather. My only issue is that it comes immediately out of the dryer with significant wrinkles on collar, cuffs, tail, button path, as to make it virtually unwearable until ironing. That isn't the case with other Columbia and Royal Robbins shirts I have that can usually go right on a hanger or on your back if you catch them right from the dryer. The price is pretty premium so I kind of expected a little more but it's a decent weekend shirt.

Warm weather shirt

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

Typical Patagonia tailoring and quality. 55% hemp fabric is light, airy, and durable. Stripe pattern is subtly complex, with 3 different blues. True to size. (M, 6'3", 170lb, fits across shoulders and hangs a bit off the body for ventilation) Minor minuses- pattern on pocket was not perfectly aligned, but could be intentional; made in China, but Choinard claims an ethical supply chain.

Patagonia Quality

The mixture of hemp and organic cotton is super light, soft and breathable. Another classic from patagonia
