All leather, all year.
You've been trying to stretch out the season for your favorite leather bomber for years now, but somehow, you're always thwarted when the snow really starts coming down. Puffy down and three-in-one jackets are okay, but in your mind, they've got nothing on leather's sleek, timeless style. Fortunately, this may finally be your year. Push aside those winter jackets that just aren't "you" and make room in your closet for the Parajumpers Ernie Leather Jacket. Filled with breathable synthetic insulation, the Ernie will keep you far warmer than your old favorite when the weather gets foul, and its waxed lambskin leather exterior won't soak through at the first sign of rain. Well-placed accents, like zipper tassels and a tape-neck closure lend classic aviator style, while subtle pit zips prevent overheating when you're stuck inside.
- Transition to winter with this insulated leather jacket
- Lightweight polyester insulation holds onto warmth
- Waxed lambskin exterior repels rain and snow
- Subtle underarm vents help prevent overheating

There’s just something so 2015 about walking into your favorite après-ski watering hole or evening urban haunt looking like you just stomped a backflip alongside Johnny Collinson in the latest TGR ski movie. That scruffy bright outerwear screams “please accept me because I’m avid outdoor enthusiast.” The game’s over and in 2018 I officially give you permission to be yourself and slap on the material that is the original and still the best: leather. After all, how could so many bad asses over the years be wrong?
Parajumpers are so on point with their classic styling that when I put on the Ernie and I’m about to step out into the alpine or urban jungle, I can almost feel the warm breath of Brad Pitt on my neck… I recognize Marion Cotillard’s reassuring embrace as I head off on my top secret mission on the Savoyard branch of the French resistance in the mountain town of Chamonix, France (my current residence).
Flash forward to our current mission, there’s just something right about this jacket when sitting down at the cafe, sipping on a Demi-pint of light lager before anticipating my afternoon espresso. The quality and workmanship are apparent immediately on the layered retro stitching, snaps, and high-quality zips that all just feel better than my latest Gore-Tex spacesuit. The best part about it is that it’s just so damn warm with the synthetic insulation. Who’s said you couldn’t have leather AND insulation baffles?
The stakes are high this winter and looking good is once again the crucial mission you’ve been tasked to accept. I don’t think I’ve had a more well-rounded stylish winter jacket that can keep me warm and cool at the same time. Vive la résistance !
