wore them actually at Wadi Rum,
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
these pants are too heavy of a cloth for the sand. fit was good but in hot weather just not the product i thought it should be. UA golf pants were lighter and better for Wadi Rum,

Solid
I saw all the reviews regarding the funky fit, but decided to pull the trigger anyway. They are certainly more snug than I'd like around the hips and thighs; however, they have loosened up after a few wears. I'm 5'11" 210lbs and bought a 36x32. I love everything else about the pants though. Durable, but not too thick. Cool pocket layout. And great color.

Just as described!
I read reviews that the pants fit weird and were to tight in the thighs. I find the pants to fit exactly as they are sized. I wear a 34 waist and 34 length and they are true to sizing. Awesome pants!

Wadi Rum -Climb or just look good on a night out.
Versatile and comfortable pants great for climbing or just going out. Good to be prepared if you find some good rock.

34's are really 33's
Terrible fit. 34's are not really 34's more like 33's in the waist.

Look good; weird pockets
These fit well. The front pockets are too small and difficult to get your hands into. I wish Outdooor Research would research the many tactical style pants on the market to incorporate their larger, deeper front pockets, and additional hidden side/back and accessory pockets - like those intended for cell phones (or gun mags, if that's your thing). But overall these pants fit well and have good stretch. Too bad the front pockets are a chore to reach into.

Poor quality
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
I wear these mostly to go work in an office and the stitching pulled out of the top of the left thigh after maybe 15 times of wearing them. Waste of money

Pants for the long haul
These are my fifth pair of Wadi Rum pants and my other four are still going strong after 3 years. I've used them for work on a shop floor, hiking, search and rescue missions and going out to dinner. I like the fit and the slimmer profile. I'm a bigger dude (6'2" & 220) so finding pants that don't look like an MC Hammer backup dancer's wardrobe can be challenging. Couple recommendations: 1) Love the zippered phone pocket but would love it more if it was offset more over the side seam. 2) Please have more of the larger sizes in inventory - can't buy them if they aren't there. Thanks!

better than jean for summer conditions
I have used these for climbing and field work they feel like jeans but have more stretch and breath better, nice for summer condition but still pretty rugged. feel like the waist line is a little low which I don't care for.
