Why We Like The Outdoor Research Snowcrew Pant

When we plan on running resort laps in bitter whiteout conditions, we pull on the Snowcrew Pant. The impermeable membrane and fully sealed construction stop winter's tantrum from breaking through, while the toasty fill traps in our heat. Built with a mechanical stretch and articulated knees, this pant lets us bend and twist freely as we navigate moguls and spin off booters.

Details

  • Toasty pants for a day of shredding groomers
  • Waterproof membrane keeps you dry underneath
  • Synthetic insulation traps heat even when wet
  • Inner-thigh vents dump excess heat when needed
  • Integrated gaiters stop snow from packing in
  • Reinforced scuff guards boost durability
  • Zippered pockets secure smaller essentials
  • Runs large, so we recommend sizing down for ideal fit
  • Item #ODRZ8JN

Looking forward to trying them in the snow.

Seem like good pants. First pair were too large. Second pair fit well. Looking forward to trying them in the snow.

Size way too big

Arrived in good order but the size is so huge, 2 of me can fit in! I had used an existing OR hiking pants as size guide. Did not work! Can easily go down 2 size. Yep, its that huge.

Comfy and cute! Not great for curves.

Comfy, fits as expected. I'm 5'6 and between 130-140lbs and a small fit well. With the adjustable straps someone 10-15lbs smaller could easily fit. Someone slightly bigger than that would be comfy in a medium. This is not super curve friendly just fyi! I have bigger than average curves so there's a small bump in fabric right above the butt, however it wouldn't be noticeable if I was skiing so I'm not all the concerned. If you're very curvy, I would try another item.

Perfect Pants for Skiing

Great fit-love the option of short size so I finally don't have to roll up my pants or have them dragging on the ground. Nice warm insulation but doesn't feel not too thick. I like the zipper openings for ventilation. Good amount of pockets and loops for a belt. Love the color too! Overall terrific pants, and I'm looking forward to years of great use.

True to size with room to move

Warm with room in the hips and thighs for movement. Actually true to size. I wear a medium in street clothes and can wear a medium in these. In other brands I have to size up and then they're too loose in the waist. These are great! The tall length is wonderful as I'm a hair under 6 ft.

Love these pants

Bought a pair in a different color for a recent trip and bought these while still on the trip because I loved them so much! Great fit and super comfortable. Kept me warm and dry in fresh powder at about 20 degrees. I'm 5'5 and about 135 lbs and ordered a medium. They're a little big but adjustable with the cinching waist. Happy with the size I got.

Warm and comfy insulated pants

I bought these for resort skiing and have been happy with the amount of warmth they provide for in bounds skiing. I appreciate the vents in case the day gets warmers as well. They were a little more snug with my layers than I anticipated but overall happy with the purchase.

Dry and warm

Great ski pants, fit me perfectly. Got an XS and I'm 5'3" and 115 lb. Length as perfect. I'm usually a size 26 in pants.

Uphill and downhill, great fit

I haven't ridden a lift yet with these pants but I've worn them twice on a couple of different ski-area uphill outings. They are super comfortable and a great piece of gear for providing a transition from climbing to skiing down. I also like how soft they are.

Nice pants

Was a bit unsure about which size to go for due to the reviews. I am 5'6 and approx 58kg and the small fit me great with a baselayer underneath. I wore them on a warm weekend, sat on some damp chairs and waterproofing seemed good. Yet to test them in the cold.
