Designed for cold weather.

The Outdoor Research Illuminator Sensor Gloves are built to fend off nasty weather on alpine ridges or at the local resort. These versatile gloves easily slip under your jacket and hold securely in place with the convenient hook-and-loop closure. No matter how slushy or fluffy the snow is, your hands stay dry from the modern Ventia insert and give your hands room to breathe from the nylon and spandex shell. Equipped with touchscreen compatible technology, these gloves let you snap gorgeous photos on the lift without exposing your hands to sub-zero temps. And since they’re made with toasty PrimaLoft Silver insulation and a goat leather palm, they protect your hands from the elements and help you grip ski poles effortlessly.

Great gloves for the price

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Upon receiving these gloves I liked them. They fit well, seemed very soft and dexterous, and worked great with a smart phone. I took them to Vail for a week and they performed very well. Temps weren't as cold as they normally are in February, ranging between about 18-40 degrees. They kept my hands warm (too warm sometimes), and dry. One thing I will say is I don't think the screen grab is all that important of a feature now that I have gloves with them. The truth is, even with this glove, which I consider dexterous, its just easier to take off a glove whenever you need to use your phone, than to worry about potentially dropping it while on the lift. Overall though I highly recommend these gloves.
