Outdoor ResearchHighcamp 3-Finger Glove - Men's

Gloves for the good days.

Charge the pow with the Men's Highcamp 3-Finger Glove by Outdoor Research. Ventia's Dry insert gives this glove waterproof and windproof protection while still remaining breathable, and PrimaLoft's Gold insulation provides additional water-resistant protection in a super soft package.

The Highcamp also features a removable liner made of Radiant Fleece. Radiant wicks moisture quicker than standard fleeces, and it has a four-way stretch to ensure dexterity. The liner also features touchscreen-compatible finger tips and a pocket for hand warmers.

Toasty Mitts

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these with the intention of having a great all-around insulated glove. So far, they've kept me warm while bombing down the slopes here at Brighton but I imagine I'll use them for much more than that.

The gloves ship with an adequate liner, but like another reviewer I found it to be a bit loose for the size. Regardless, my fingers are happy and warm!

I found these fit true to size with respect to other OR gloves. I wear a LG, similar to a size 9 in Hestra or a LG in Black Diamond.

All Way Dexterity

Waterproof, warmth, dexterity fit these 3 finger gloves I use for icefishing.

    Three gloves in one!
Easy to manipulate fishing poles, sonar buttons and tip ups.
Easier than my previous mitts to start auger and put up shanty.
    Thanks and stay warm comfortably.

    Great hybrid!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My fingers always get cold. Well, not anymore. These gloves are great, very warm and fit well. I use them for walking around and cycling (December, in town, Minneapolis). It was around 0-5 the other day and my fingers stay just fine (I was out for about an hour, I am sure they will keep my fingers warm for a whole day if needed). The liner is light-weight, and if it will be colder I may use a heavier liner, but that's nothing much about the glove itself. The built quality seems very good and I am only sorry I didn't buy them last winter.
I would say they are true to size. Overall - very happy with them!

    Fantastic mitt

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I used these while climbing Mt. Hood in February. Very warm mitts, and the leather palm is extremely durable. The liner gloves fit a bit loose and are not snug so I will likely swap those out.

Thanks for the great review, Jack. I think the Highcamp Mitts are killer and at a great price!

    Unanswered Question

Do these have the "idiot" wrist cord like so many other OR over gloves?

Is the removable liner a mitten as well? Also, the waterproof insert, is that removable?

The liner is a glove, the insert is not removable.
