Best light layer ever

Perfect jacket to throw on as a wind breaker, for light rain or just as an extra layer to keep you warm. Cozy and looks good!

Perfect Hiking Layer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great layer for my recent Colorado 14er hike. It packs small and is far more breathable than my raincoat, but still cuts the wind. I was able to wear a tshirt and my OR Vigor 1/4 zip underneath it comfortably. I only wore a tshirt under the anorak on my way back down the mountain since the sun came out and it helped to regulate my temperature. I ordered the small and medium since I'm between sizes (5'3", 145lbs), but the small fit better under my hiking hip belt and I was still able to wear decent layers under it. I look forward to using this anorak on more hikes and as a nice option for walking the dogs on chilly mornings.

Perfect shirt for hiking

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fabric feels cool and is quick drying. Good for hiking. Nice two pockets in the front - one kangaroo pocket and another one with zipper. I like the zipper on the side as well. XS for 5'3" and 120 lb fits well.

Runs big compared to other brands

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this jacket because I wanted a packable softshell for shoulder season hiking and climbing. Unfortunately the xs was too baggy (5'5, 110lb - I usually wear xs in all other brands). The fabric was lighter than the Arc'teryx gamma SL and which was what I was looking for. Had to return because of sizing but hoping OR expands sizing options!

Versatile layer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Haven't had this long but it's been gray to have along as an extra layer in all sorts of settings. I was worried I wouldn't like the elastic waistband, but it doesn't bother me. The fabric feels lovely and soft and seems to repel water well. Not the most breathable as a result, but not unpleasantly so for most conditions.

excellent anorak

Well, I dont usually write reviews, but this anorak is a keeper. I bought after a wirecutter review, and wasnt sure what to expect. Fabric is soft, and sturdy, sheds water, pockets are great for stuffing gloves or whatever. I have worn it as the outer layer for mountain snowshoeing/ XC skiing- even using the side zip vent ( which actually seems to work better than pit zips). It layers over warmer jackets and keeps the warmth in or unzip and let the heat fly. It can easily be the solo layer when walking the dog or racing for errands. Packs down small and travels well, even the hood works nicely. This jacket has become a great one to grab for all outings.
