Why We Like The Astro Skort

The Astro Skort brings a fresh and functional look to our hiking gear for the warmer months. The interior short is made with moisture-wicking Krypta fabric that keeps things comfortably dry near the skin, while the durable nylon skirt material withstands trail wear and abrasions on technical terrain.

best skort of all time

i am so confused by the reviews. the lack of stretch is the best part. it holds everything in and i get so many compliments. the material is soft and forgiving. im an xl it runs a slight bit small but gets looser as the day goes on. i own fifty something skorts and none compare. i have five pairs of the astro skort and buy them any time i can find them anywhere. wish OR still made them and people gave them a chance.

Wear this on the daily

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've swam in the skort, ran in the skort, dressed it up for a day out. I love tis skort so much and it's incredible comfortable. It's also quick dry so it's the perfect summer clothing choice. My ONLY complaint is that the waist doesn't stretch. So I ordered an x-small, and once it's over my hips it fits my waist and legs perfectly (5'4, roughly 117 pounds), however, because it has no stretch, getting is over my waist and butt is sort of hilarious. Getting it on and off isn't comfortable, and trying to get it down to say go to the bathroom is a pain. I'm not sure why the waist is so taught, but a bit of stretch it would be an absolute winner. I'm still glad I ordered the size I did because once it's on, it really does fit well.

Comfortable and versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It seems like it's not going to fit at first but then once you get it over your butt/thighs, it fits well. Very comfortable and it works for casual or outdoor settings. The material seems durable and is comfortable. I am 5'6" and 150 lbs and the medium is a good fit. My only complaint is I get a slight muffin top when I sit down.

Difficult to put on

I have always loved OR clothes and wished they carry petite sizes; but I love their materials and quality so much that I still get lots of OR clothes of the smallest sizes (XS or size 0) despite the slightly loose fit (at the waist for instance for pants, but the drawstrings help). BUT the Astro skort is so small at the waist without elastic that I have a very, very, very hard time pulling it past my hip. Once I struggled to put it on (after wiggling it past my hip), it fits me perfectly (my waist size is 24-25) without making use of the drawstring. In fact, I feel so comfortable in it that I don't want to take it off, also because I have a hard time pulling off since it would get stuck at the hip yet again. This would be the first time I complain about OR products, also the first time I got a skort though. I really hope they consider the fact that a woman's hip is wider than her waist when designing skorts without elastic around the waist or a zipper in the front.

Runs small not much stretch

Size carefully! Ordered xs per chart, I'm that size in all other brands for the most part. I could pull this puppy up past my thighs!! I'd have to jump off the roof! If I had managed a miracle and got them up they'd have to be cut off I think. 105 lbs 4'2. Can't exchange so I ordered a S. Hope that does the trick. Fabric feels nice. Will either give these away or try a zipper or something?

Not usually a skort wearer but THIS is PERFECT

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried this on even though I never buy skorts. I just look better in shorts I think and skorts seemed too girly looking. But something about the shape, length, and swing of this is perfect. Pockets on both sides of the short part is a total win. I ended up going online and buying another color and am thinking about getting another back up black one lol. I am living in these this summer for sure! I am 5'6" and 140lbs and am glad I got the large even though I could probably wear the medium too. LOVE THEM

Finally a skort I can run in!

I love running in skorts because I like storing my phone on my thigh but don't like the look of running shorts. But I struggle to find ones that don't sag or slip over my hips while running. These stay on great! As others have mentioned in reviews, I do need to wiggle the waist over my hips but not a big deal for me. I got a small and am 5'3, 110lb.

Awesome skirt

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this skirt! I wear it all the time. I normally am a true Large, however I sized up to an XL and I am very glad I did. It fits my legs very well, and I able to tie the drawstring however tight or loose I need.

Comfy for me!

Wriggling is involved, but I wore these on 5 days of a 7 day (could have worn them on all) backpacking trip (summer in the Olympic peninsula) and loved them. I wrote the Elk on my trip and decided to get the light blue too when I got home. I do wear them around town too but they are my go-tos for hiking. I know that others dont' feel the same way but they work for my non-curvey, not extremely slender but yes petite frame (5'3, ~130 lbs, hips ~5 inches larger than my waist)

Love the color purple

I agree with most posters here. It's kinda hard to get on. I am 5'7 and 127 lbs with long thin legs, so once on it looks great. I would want to recommend this to a certain friend because she would love the plum color but would be afraid she would complain about getting it over her booty. Needs more stretch in the waist
