    Fairview 70L Backpack

The Osprey Women's Fairview 70L Backpack has enough room for you to pack everything you need for your next big trip. The pack's versatile design doubles between hauling all your luggage between terminals and day trips exploring whatever city you're traveling through thanks to a spacious, easy-to-pack design and detachable daypack. Inside the pack, a lockable laptop sleeve ensures your laptop or tablet isn't swiped when you fall asleep on the bus ride to your hostel after a 12-hour flight.

    • A durable, smart backpack ideal for traveling abroad
    • Removable daypack for quick excursions to the city
    • Lockable laptop sleeve secures valuable electronics
    • Stow-away compartment for shoulder straps and hip belt

    Great Traveling Bag

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Here are some of the pros of this bag:
It has two day bags, easy access and packing abilities in the main compartment. Great straps and waist belt
Cons are that the water carriers on the front couldn't fit my big water bottle when the pack is full and it's not quite handy for backpacking personally. I would say, this pack is mostly just travel!

Overall, I'm still gonna try to use this as more to store my clothes and other things and have another person carry all the gears in their pack.

    Needs a removable lid

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I was searching for a bag to carry sport and trad climbing equipment with full clam style opening. The clam style or duffel type opening option makes it nice to set up at the crag and have access to gear without having to pull everything out like you do with regular style opening. It also makes it easier to organize. The bag is a bit heavy heavy on it's own. The backpack that is attached to the front and can be zipped off is a great place to stow snacks, additional layers, toiletries, or smaller gear but is too heavy for such a small bag. Overall, the bag is too heavy without gear in it. I tested the bag on a backpacking trip and honestly found that it functioned poorly when packed fully. Because their is a removable backpack attached to the front of the bag and there is no lid like most backpacking bags, it shifts weight out instead of up. The problem with this is that the weight is distributed unevenly making it feel like you'd fall backwards with any imbalance to your feet and ultimately causes back pain. Honestly, the pack doesn't fit as much as I would think for 70L. It seems smaller because I can fit more in my 45L Gregory.

    Just what I needed

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am so glad that Osprey finally made a women's version of the Farpoint, their best selling travel pack. Finally one that fits my shorter torso! Well done!

      How to Measure:
For best results, have someone take the measurement for you.
      Torso:
Start at the iliac crest (the top of your hipbone that you can feel like a shelf on the side of your body). From this level on your spine, measure to the C7 vertebrae, the knobby bone at the base of your neck when you put your head down. Make sure to keep your back straight while having the measurement taken.
      Hip:
Measure around your hips, at your iliac crest, not your waist.
