Chances are good that you've already experienced the benefits of wool in your baselayers, beanies, and socks, but what you're missing in terms of insulating layers is the Ortovox Women's Piz Bial Jacket. Insulated with Swisswool, the Piz Bial is a light and breathable insulating layer that carries with it all the natural benefits of wool. Since the jacket is insulated with wool, it effectively manages body temperature, so you stay at that just-right temperature, but it is also highly breathable, so you won't get too stuffy when you're hiking a steep section of trail, or making the long approach to the crag. The jacket is highly compressible, too, and can be stowed inside of the included stuff sack when the temperatures start to climb.

Nice Jacket - color and style off
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Medium and Large
I purchased this in a size medium. I'm 5-5 132lbs 36b chest. Medium was roomy to layer over. I probably could have worn a small but with just a light layer underneath. Flattering fit, however I returned this as the color on backcountry website was a color block style navy, red, and light blue. The jacket I received was solid colors. I ordered the "night blue" color. Blue on one side and light blue on the other. I was drawn to the interesting pattern of this jacket so I sent it back.
