Ocean Kayak's Venus 11 Sit-On-Top Kayak is a blast on open water and lazy rivers. Ocean Kayak took design feedback from female paddlers and placed the seat well lower in the boat in order to better accommodate women's anatomical center of gravity. Then it gave the Venus a wide Comfort Hybrid seat that's especially comfortable and efficient for Women. The result is a stable ride for tip-free fun on open water. On long days, pack the rear tank well and Cam Lock day hatch full of gear, throw a cold beverage in the in-mold cupholder, and paddle to your heart's content. If you need a break, just stash your paddle in the side paddle keepers and float for a while as you take in the scenery; just don't forget the sunscreen. This boat is also equipped with the Car-topping handle system, so you can easily load and unload this kayak on your own.

A boat built for me
Easy to load and unload. Tracks well in the lake. Like the bungee over the forward hatch. I would like a removable seat. Can’t beat the paddle holder

Checks all the boxes!
I was on a waiting list for a Malibu 9.5 but the local dealer had one Venus 11 in Surf-what sold me was the weight! I can lift and carry it myself. But putting it through the paces on a river that leads to open surf I knew I made an excellent choice. It tracked well and has great storage capacity, both on top and in the bin at the bow. The seat is very comfortable and supports my back well. Added bonus is the gorgeous colorway. This kayak is up for various different waterways where I will be taking it!

Comfortable but not very stable

I?m very pleased with the fit and the condition of the kayak. I wasn?t expecting the front compartment to run the full length of the kayak so that?s a challenge if you need to access something while out. Also the watertight compartments is not watertight. The kayak is much less stable than I hoped. It moves around quite a bit in the smallest of waves and also with each paddle it turns. Some getting used to needed.

So totally wicked!
Only had it out twice so far, but ... love, love, love! Very comfortable and stable. Used it on a big slow river and a smaller faster river--just what I wanted

Well Designed Ocean Kayak
I am so happy with my new Venus - 11!!!!! It has great storage without being too cumbersome. It has handles in all the right places and the seat is easy to adjust and very comfortable. I have used it in windy conditions with strong tidal currents and it tracks great! Love, love, love it!!!!
