They may look chill, but they work their butts off.

While you're chillin' outside soaking in rays on a relaxed summer day while one of your friends fires up the barbecue and the other makes sure the cooler's well stocked, your Native Eyewear Polarized Chilkat Sunglasses are hard at work blocking glare and protecting your eyes. These savvy aviators are as at home on your face on casual summer days as they are during more adventurous outdoor excursions, and no matter how casual you go, the Chilkats never waver in providing high-tech eye protection, glare reduction, and a comfortable, stay-put fit.

The Chilkat's advanced N3 polarized lenses selectively block out specific parts of the light spectrum and eliminate glare to provide a crystal-clear view with increased contrasts and optimal depth perception, while offering top-notch protection against both infrared and UV rays. The Rhyno-Tuff Air frame, made of a high-performance thermoplastic, is super lightweight and as rugged as its name implies: it's made to withstand high-velocity collisions and temperature extremes. So you won't have to panic if you accidentally drop the sunglasses on the ground, or if you're out in blazing hot sun or sub-zero temperatures.

The Chilkat's frame is shaped to provide comfortable, stay-put grip, while special, non-slip nose pads ensure the sunglasses stay securely in place. Native Eyewear includes a semi-rigid case and a soft pouch along with the sunglasses so you can keep them in good shape once they're off your face.

Nice glasses for backbacking

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I got these on a sale for only $22.00, so I don't have the same complaint in price like the last reviewer. I have dropped these glasses 3 times already and no scratches. I think they are durable and feel okay enough to take the beating I will give them on the trail. Plan on 30 days on the trail so I will update my review if they don't hold up. So far really happy! Good fit to my face as well, was worried because sometimes this type of sunglasses can be too big on a female face.

made in China

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought 3 pairs of natives, 2 for my wife and 1 for myself. I got caught up in the "we're all about outdoor living and lifestyle" talk on their webpage. Read about how they are housed in Boulder Colorado and decided this was a product i wanted to try out.
Made in China. After wearing my glasses for awhile, i saw the Made in China scribe on the inside. They feel a cheap $12 pair of glasses. I think they 'can' look cool, but again, they just don't feel durable at all. I must have 8 pair of Oakley sunglasses and they all feel 'solid', but i was in the mood for something new.
I wanted Native to be my new sunglass product brand, but there's NO WAY...these are cheap (but expensive) China made crap.

oakleys are made in China too bro
