    C3 Dry Ceramic Chain Lube

The Muc-Off C3 Dry Ceramic Chain Lube reduces energy-sapping chain friction and drivetrain corrosion in bone-dry, dusty, and wet conditions. This biodegradable formula uses nano ceramic particles and synthetic polymers to prevent corrosion, reduce friction, and ensure longevity of your drivetrain. Plus, the C3 Dry Ceramic Chain Lube comes with a UV torch to check your chain for full, even coverage.

    • Biodegradable chain lube for dry, dusty, and wet conditions
    • Nano ceramic particles and synthetic particles prevent corrosion
    • Petroleum-free formula for less impact on surrounding environment
    • Includes UV torch for obtaining full coverage along the chain

Better than other top rated dry lubes

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is way better than Finish Line Dry Lube. My chain absolutely purrs with this on. You want to make certain that you get all the extra lube off or it will still attract trail dirt. I am sold on Muc-Off and will be recommending this for sure. Also, I like that the small cap on the applicator screws on. I put this in my frame bag (inside a zipped plastic bag) and had no issues with any leaking.

Add to your "marginal gains" arsenal

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Prior to using Muc-Off C3, I never really gave chain lubrication much thought. My thinking was as long as you do proper maintenance the brand of lubrication was somewhat irrelevant. That is until I used Muc Off C3. There was a noticeable difference in pedaling effort when using the C3. Less effort that is. On average probably 3-4 less watts for the same speed. Not huge but if you're doing a century or longer ride, these and other marginal gains add up. The down sides are any moisture will degrade the effectiveness, application needs to have 3-4 hours to cure before a ride for full effectiveness, and it seems you get best results 2-3 days after you apply the C3. I don't know if the ceramic particles need that time to fully coat every nook and cranny of chain but the longer it stays on the better it gets. Just for reference I previously used Park Tool chain lube, Rock and Roll Gold, and White Lightning. All great products but I have to say the C3 is better. Overall I'm happy with Muc Off C3, recommend it, and would purchase it again.

    Does what it says

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Easy to apply, smells great (like all the Muc-Off lubes do), and runs smoothly and quickly. Because it is a dry application lube, if you have a ride where you encounter wet roads be prepared to reapply. I've noted that I usually like to reapply after a weekend of riding about 150+ miles. Satisfied and see no problem continuing to use it as we head into the dryer season ahead.

    Great chain lube

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great lube for dry conditions! Does the job and keeps my drivetrain well maintained.
