- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Used this backpacking with my family(2 adults and 2 kids) for about 8 nights, 6 night Desolation Canyon river trip (3 adult men) and a few over nights with kids about another 6 nights. We have been in rain about 6 nights total, never had a leak. Our last trip is rained hard all night and we woke up in puddle under the tent, bone dry inside. The Mountainsmith Morrison Evo has really nice large doors, spacious vestibules and plenty of mesh for ventilation. The cross bar provides really good head space as well. There are plenty of guy out lines as well. Set up is super easy, my kids (8 and 10) do it on their own. I would certainly recommend this tent to anyone.
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
First trip out on first night of rain it leaks on my face I think the stitching by the vent being so high was just too cheap from being made in china. However, quality control was very poor if it leaks first time out with the waterproofing supposedly high. Only good thing was this website did give my my money back after I sent the tent back in no paying for shipping. So I am still researching tents that are quality and so far the REI is the best I have found.
