Designed by Mountain Hardwear for active winter use, this lightweight synthetic puffer works just as well during uphill travel as it does while taking a break to regroup or layer up. It’s the kind of jacket we keep within reach because it handles a wide range of conditions without demanding much thought.

Instead of down, the Ventano Hoodie uses recycled ThermaCLOud AF insulation, which mimics the loft and softness of natural down while continuing to insulate when moisture sneaks in. The ultralight nylon ripstop shell keeps weight low and packability high, letting the jacket stuff into its own pocket when it’s not needed. An insulated hood with elastic binding and a rear cinch helps seal in warmth, while zippered pockets provide secure storage for essentials on the move.
