    Nice product

Keeps your head warm in the winter. Bought as a gift for my son to replace the old one he had.

      Keeps your head warm

      • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Gave this as a part of a graduation present for my nephew. He says "It's like, packs down small, and helps keep him warm at night"

      Great multi use beanie

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

It is a simple beanie but, way comfortable, warm, and looks great! Love the way the logo is embossed on the front. Fits well under my helmet and stylish enough to wear apres.

      Don't Leave Home Without It

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is my favorite hat, ever. I have four of them and one windstopper one. I keep one in the pocket of each of my jackets. It is warm and will let your head breathe as well. Great for anything, going to work, working in the yard, anything. It absorbs the sweat quite nicely. Won't mess up your hair. Fantastic. I wear it mostly from 20-40 degrees. I only wear the windstopper one when it is frigid and I'm not working. If I am shoveling the driveway, the regular one is still better as it lets your head ventilate a bit better.

A shell of it's former self

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Bought this recently to replace the same hat (7 yrs old) I lost at the end of last season. This is not the same hat by any means. It is a highly disappointing remake of a formerly great product. Thinner material, cheaper looking logo and smaller fit overall. Wore it for first time in 35 degrees and it offers no warmth or protection at all, like wearing nothing.

      The only one I'll wear

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've been wearing a Micro Dome for over 10 years now but I just lost my original so had to order a new one. The Micro Dome is a made with a much thinner fleece than most beanies. If you find most beanies to be too hot, thick, or itchy this is the one for you. I can't tell if the new one is a slightly different material or just needs another 10 years of break-in but it's still very true to my original. I've attached a pic of the original at camp in Yangri, Nepal. The pic shows the logo done with two colors. The new one has just a single color. Black on black.

      The only one I'll wear

      Awesome beanie

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is at least my third one. Pretty sure my two kids are taking them and using them and I have to get a new one. Attached is photographic evidence of one of them in possession of the beanie.

It is super soft and snug fitting. It is perfect for anything to around 30 degrees or so and slips under a hood no problem. It is my go to beanie for the daily commute and winter activities, whether hiking or smoking and joking around a campfire.

      Awesome beanie

      So good!

      • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Definitely didn't think I'd ever be impressed by a fleece hat, but this one did it! I borrowed this during a fall afternoon climbing in the canyons near SLC, and it was so cozy. Fit perfectly under my helmet, and I could imagine it going well under a ski helmet as well. I have a tiny head so sometimes these are too big, but the "one size fits all" may be right this time!

      Perfect Hat

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Very comfortable beanie. I have this beanie in the Regular and wear a hat size 7 ½. I would say that is the biggest to go before going up to a Large. It is a snug fit, but not to the point of being uncomfortable or too small. It still covers my ears just fine. It is great to fit under a climb or ski helmet.
Feel free to reach directly out to me with any questions at all!

      Do it All Beanie

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This little number is with me in the fall, winter, and spring. I originally picked it up to wear under my ski helmet--which it is perfect for. As a bonus, It's nice and lightweight so I don't think twice about packing it on my backpacking trips and I am always happy when the temp dips a little lower.

      Straight Up

It's odd to give a fleece at a 5 star rating, because all hats are the same, right? Not at all. I got this hat in the mid-2000's and I still wear it all the time. Just like mentioned above, it's great to fit under a helmet. Too many hats are too bulky or too tight like a skull cap. This is the straight up, simple winter hat that fits to be casual and underneath your helmet without it shifting around or adding too much bulk. 10 plus years and I'll keep using it.

        Best fleece beanie ever!!!

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I already own 5 of these and just ordered another one to keep on hand as a replacement. As an outdoor professional I wear one of these beanies almost daily at around 200-250 days per year.

They fit my head snugly being a guy with a shaved head (about 7 1/4 hat size on average) and they are warm without being bulky. I can easily wear them under my climbing or snowboard helmet and can easily stash one in my bag or luggage or car door in case I need a hat for the cold. Will most likely buy more of them as well.

Side note, for some reason the blue and red one fit a touch bigger. They are still fine but wold be better for someone with hair :D

Great beenie! Very light but warm!

Used it for first time on my 13 day JMT thru hike...I've had Patagonia capilene beenies but prefer this one.....great for underneath a hood during sub freezing temps or good to mid thirties alone...cheap and versatile piece of gear.

Great beenie! Very light but warm!

is that the black or graphite (gray)? hoping it's black and just the lighting or faded. thx

          Good beanie!

          • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I'm a bald and beautiful man living in Montana. This beanie feels great on my dome! Knocks the chill right off the ole coconut! It is my go to beanie for warmth fit and comfort! Get it! You'll love it!

          Great Hat

This is definitely one of my top favorite beanies. It provides a nice warmth for a thin light hat. The fact that it is thin means it's great as the description says for layering under other hats, helmets, hoods, etc.

The seams are relatively low profile which also means you don't end up with strange lines digging into your head if it's under something like a helmet.

Being fleece it obviously isn't very windproof but on warmer days or low wind days this hat is definitely fine on its own as well.

Being light means if you're participating in energy intensive activities in cold weather you also aren't sweating out your ears - it provides the perfect balance of warmth as you hike up mountains or run in the woods without making your head feel like it's summer again.

            Awesome Hat

I think I own like 50 beanies but this one definitely stands out. I've had it for about 2 years now - I love the fit and I love how lightweight it is.

Keeps you warm but doesn't make you feel like your head is burning up on the in-between days and is equally awesome as a layer on the chilly days.

            Awesome Hat

            It's a hat!

Fits like a glove, for your head. Got the medium, don't have a particularly large or small head, so med worked just fine. It will fit under my climbing helmet better than my knit one, less bulk, but still warm.

              Potentially great beanie (for me)

              • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I rate this 4 stars based on my own bias with beanies. I like a beanie that isn't flush with my scalp and covers my ears. This beanie is more on the smaller side of roominess (I think that's why it's call "micro dome") Ha. It's very nice material, the fleece is the same allover and its a midweight to lightweight fleece I would say. I think this will be a great beanie for many people. I'm just a bit picky when it comes to my head. Give it a go! Lovely colors and very toasty! I think it's a men's hat, but it fit my head just fine, and so I would say possibly uni-sex, since it doesn't specify.

              Love this hat!

Because this hat is lightweight fleece it fits easily into a pocket. But, it has kept my head warm this cold winter. I love the color 'azul'.

                Great Hat!

                • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lightweight fleece, breathable - yet warm enough to protect against the wind. I've got a couple versions of the Micro Dome, and wore it on my last 14er. Great job on the elements!

                Great Hat!
