Light. Burly. Toasty. Breezy. The Kor Nimbus is everything in one—exactly what we want on our stop-and-go missions. The weather-resistant panels cut the chill of ridgeline winds and brush off icefall crumbles, while the lightweight fill keeps our core warm through backcountry transitions. When winter melts away but it's still brisk enough for max friction, the stretchy ripstop material doesn't hesitate to stem up sandstone chimneys. However we're sending it, this hooded jacket measures up.

Ultra-light and effective
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
This is actually my second Kor Nimbus, and they are very different. The original was very form-fitting and made a great midlayer for extreme cold. The newer model has changed the face fabric, and it is a regular fit jacket. This means you can layer whatever you want underneath and use this as a very effective top layer. It is a fantastic windbreaker and just warm enough for fall temps. This has quickly become my pick up on the way out the door jacket for 40 F and above. Also, this jacket seems even lighter weight overall than the original. Being easily packable, I wouldn't hesitate to use this as my softshell on a backpacking or camping trip.
