A lightweight synthetic bag that won't disappoint.
If choosing light over warm has left you kicking yourself on a cold night, consider the Mountain Hardwear Hyperlamina Flame 20 Degree Synthetic Sleeping Bag. With its welded Lamina construction and thermally efficient Performance Mummy cut, the Hyperlamina Flame will provide a warm and cozy night of sleep in the backcountry without weighing you down on the trail.
Designed to be one of the lightest and warmest synthetic bags on the market, the bag utilizes a welded construction to eliminate stitching and the resulting cold spots. Combined with zoned insulation, which places warmth where you need it most (at your core and feet) the bag delivers an excellent warmth to weight ratio, making it a great alternative to a down bag when you're anticipating damp or rainy conditions. A single, half-length center front zipper is slightly lighter than a full-length zipper, and it provides ample ventilation if you happen to get too warm throughout the night. Behind the zipper is an insulated draft collar and a face gasket, so you can really hunker down when the mercury drops.

- Q & A
This is by far my favorite sleeping bag I have used to date. It is very warm and comfortable and the synthetic insulation allows it to stay warm even in wet conditions. The center zipper is also very nice for easy access and eliminates the potential for a cold spot on the side of the bag. I would highly recommend this bag to anybody looking for a solid 20 degree.
Warm When Wet
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've used my Mountain Hardware Flame on many occasions, and it hasn't let me down yet. I had a heavy downpour funnel water down my support straps into my hammock and soak the bottom of the bag, but it kept me warm and dried quickly the next morning. I'm very happy with it!
The only small thing I wish was different was another 6" on the zipper length so I could lift my legs out without having to slide up a bit, first.
