Very good, the style is also very good, but the price is a little expensive, but it is really good, I bought a pair of pants before, the price is cheaper, not bad. http://pleasure.ebcoo.net/product/male-hemp-cotton-casual-pants/

    Wow!

These pants are so much more than I expected! The cut is absolutely perfect. I'm fairly tall and thin and have a hard time finding pants that fit, but Mountain Hardware knocked it out the the park with these. The attention to detail is amazing... Well thought out pockets, reflector, snaps for rolling up the cuffs, and just a small amount of stretch. Truly an all purpose pant I could see myself wearing daily. Only negative is they do seem to attract lint!

    Perfect fit

These are the best fitting active pant that I've been able to find. Only complaint is that mine were a bit long when they came in, even though I had ordered a 32' inseam which fits me well in every other pant.

      Good color too!

      Cozy

These are the pants that you don't feel like you need to change out of at the end of your hike or climb. Soft, stretchy fabric that still feels sturdy, with a fashionable cut. I'd wear these anywhere. One downside of the fabric is that it clings on to dirt, etc which necessarily a bad thing, but if you have cats or dogs I would advise choosing a color other than black!

      Good Pants For Sure!!!

Bought these for my BF. He really likes them. He was stoked on a slimmer fitting pant, that wasn't all "skinny jeaned out" lol. Bonus-reflective material for your late night rides home from the pub.

Like most 20 something males, when you find a pair of pants I like, I wear them everyday. I've worn these pants lounging around the house, long days in car, and on every big day on the rock or trail. I am wearing them right now. The comfort and the quality haven't wavered a bit despite the constant wear and tear. Need a reliable pant for all kinds of outdoor sports, the Mountain Hardwear AP Pant is for you!

      Great All-Arounders

I just picked up a couple pairs of these after hearing so many good things about them. The fit is off the charts on these pants, some of the best fitting pants I've ever owned. They are really well thought out as well. The roll up with button closure is a great little feature. They would be nice for the commuter, since they do have those reflective straps on the underside as well. The pockets are easy access and have zippers on the back as well as a velcro phone pocket.

The material is super comfy to wear, you won't want to take these off. They have an ever so slight amount of stretch which is really nice. I wore them for a few days camping and they held up excellently. They are not the most breathable and not the most technical, but for an all-around do everything pant, these are my new favorites.

Oh, also, I did wear them on a wet hike up in Olympic and they did get pretty wet. To be fair, it was a rainforest and everything was wet, so I wasn't too surprised. They aren't quick drying, but they dried out soon enough. Anyways, point being, they're not waterproof and they don't really seem to be water resistant either, so if that's what you're after, then these might not be your best bet. Other than that some of the best pants I've had.

Lastly, double thumbs up for odd waist sizes!

Not designed for serious outdoor use

I’ve had these pants for six months now and really wanted to like them, but frankly they are not really good at anything. I've used these extensively - climbing in them 3-4 times a week since i've owned them. I loved the fit in the waist/legs, but that’s about all. Bought them for rock climbing and backpacking.

First off, the rise/crotch is way too small to be a climbing pant. I’ve never had climbing pants that cause me so many problems in the “gentleman’s area” as these have, but they do - a lot. Secondly, now that it is finally summer in Northern New England, I wore them for the first time on a long hike (12 miles) yesterday. These don’t wick at all - they soak up sweat and water and hold it.

When I got home I checked what they were made of - 75% cotton?! Who makes “technical” pants out of mostly cotton? That just spells hypothermia in the White Mountains. Definitely my fault for not noticing that 6 months ago, but reviews were good....

So yeah, these are good for walking around town and looking like you are outdoorsy, but they are terrible for anything where you actually sweat, get mud, or water on you. Generally love Mountain Hardware, but these are a big miss.

Graham. Sorry to hear about your experience. Thanks for being a Hardwear Fan. This pant pretty much says it in the name AP stands for All-Purpose and the thinking of this pant when we designed was to be good at everything so it's not a specialist... It's good for work, commute, hiking, biking, climbing, dating, etc. Kind of the utility pant that does it all. It's also cotton and nylon so it's very comfortable and doesn't look like you just came off the crag or the backcountry when you wear it around town. From what I read from your review you were looking for more of a specialist pant for Climbing/hiking... Probably want a gusseted crotch, fully nylon, lots of stretch. I would look at the Chockstone Hike pant. It says "Hike" but its just as adept at climb as well. Let me know if I can do anything for you and look next spring for our new pant called the "logan Canyon" pant which is taking the AP and giving you a true specialized hike/climb pant that I am really excited about.

      Fabulousness

These pants have a skinnier fit and would be a solid choice for anyone with a taller, thinner build. The material has a slight stretch to it and is really comfy. The pant legs have snaps so when you roll them up, they stay up.

      Best Pants Ever!

      • Fit: True to size

These pants are perfect all the way around. Super comfortable, slightly stretchy, water resistant, great pockets, and the button snaps on the cuffs of the pant legs make it easy to roll up for climbing. They fit like a dream which is awesome for someone like me who is tall and thin. I'll certainly be buying more pairs! Wouldn't expect anything less from Mountain Hardwear!

      Nice pants. Good quality

      • Fit: Runs small
      • Size Bought: 30x30

These appear to be good quality pants. Unfortunately I never got the chance to test them out. They're very slim around the thighs. Like skinny jeans tight. If you have an athletic build you may want to consider a different product.

These are my husband's favorite pants. He's worn them hunting, got them covered in blood, and they come out of the wash like new. They're comfortable and stretchy, and they look great.

Very nice quality casual pants, they look great with everything!

      Great pants

These might be my new favorite pants :) I love them. Nice and stretchy if your a climber. I got the 33x32’s and I also got the 32x32’s but ended up going with the 33’s. The 32 was just a little too tight thru the crotch area. Tons of useful pockets and a good cuffing system so your not stepping on your pants. I really like these pants—— I’m 6’1” about 180lbs

        Love 'em

A great all around pant, I mainly use them for climbing but they are nice enough to also wear casually.
        Very durable.

They can be a little stiff at first, takes a bit to wear them in.

        Great all around pant

So far these have been great around the office and walking the dog. The fit is not too baggy but not too tight. They look casual but you can also hike in them.

        Goto Office to Trail Pants

I really like the style, fit and function of these pants that I have three now. I bought these primarily for cooler outdoor outings on the trail and camping but have also used them to commute by bike to my office. They have a good amount of stretch for mobility and comfort; dry quickly; are suitable for a casual office environment or in town; and perform superbly on hikes. I've worn these during a snow storm and though I didn't expect them to repel water, they did dry quickly that I didn't need to change when I got home. The fit is on the slim side but it doesn't feel restrictive when moving around. They have nice deep front pockets and zippered rear pockets, as well as an odd pocket on the right thigh, for a phone, they say, but I couldn't fit my iphone 6 in it.

          Great pants so far

Was looking for a slim, durable, comfortable pant for daily wear to work, and occasional hiking or camping activities. I have not yet been able to take these on the trails or camping yet, but have worn to work a few times and so far am impressed with their comfort and apparent toughness. I manage a hardware store and all of my clothes and footwear take a lot of abuse, jeans don't last long on the job. Will see how these hold up over time, but based on my first few wears, they feel like a very durable, yet lightweight material. They fit pretty well, I wish they tapered a little more from knee to ankle, but they aren't bootcut by any means. Great pants so far, I plan on picking up a few more pairs in the near future.

          The Jam

          • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These are pants are the jam. I've been wearing mine in every different situation and love every bit of them. The snaps on the ankle that allow you to roll them with reflective tape is perfect. They don't roll up too high, and fit perfectly once you snap them. You can beat these pants up, get them dirty, then wash them and they look stellar once again because the fabric and durability is top notch. This will go one of two ways, fall in love with the shorts, then do anything for the pants, or realize the pants are the jam then make sure you buy the shorts as soon as possible. Basically, I'm saying you should make sure you have both and in multiple colors.

          So good
