So light and packable!

This jacket is a super lightweight shell - kind of an emergency layer. So it's great that it packs so small and has a tab to clip it to a harness or bag! I used this just as a wind shell around Salt Lake, and it provided that extra protection and warmth I needed on a fall day.

I used the size medium, which was too big for me! I am normally a size small though so this shows that the jacket is true to size. It's a loose/regular fit so you could fit a fleece or other layer underneath for extra warmth if needed.

Not quite like the picture

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: L

I ordered the Atmosfear and it is more icy blue/purple than the silver/metallic that is pictured. It also is see-through, which is not portrayed in the picture at all. It is extremely lightweight, which is perfect if you are looking to use it for backpacking or hiking. One think I didn't like was there were no side pockets. There is one small pocket on the front of the coat, but it didn't fit my iPhone 6S. Also, it does run slightly small. I am a M (99.9% of the time) in jackets (occasionally a S), but this one I would have needed a L. Overall a very cute coat. I just wasn't loving the color and wanted something with pockets.

Perfect Lightweight Jacket

I was a little skeptical, but this jacket has been great. I wore it mountain biking the Whole Enchilada in Moab, Utah. It added some warmth on the descent and helped keep me dry during an unexpected desert thunderstorm. I got the jacket in black, which looks a little like a high-tech trash bag, so I would recommend another color. Not particularly breathable, but great for a really light wind and rain layer.

This jacket went through cold and hail that day. Couldn't be happier with this one!

    More useful than I'd imagined!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: large

Thought this would be a great option in place of a long sleeve shirt on the trail but wasn't sure how much use I'd truly get out of it. Well... I love it! It packs down so small and it's so light! I don't stow it in its pocket though... most of the time I just stuff it into the lid or front pocket of my pack. Even though I shove it in the pack, I've had no issues with durability.
It works really well for when there's that little chill in the air, when it's too warm for a fleece or something similar but too chilly for just a tee. And no overheating! I use it mostly either in early morning or evening when it's a little chilly or when stopping for breaks.
I got a large and it fits well, a little roomy but not too big. (I usually buy a large in everything.) I have the Fission color and it's a pretty bright, cheery, fun color.

    Best lightweight jacket!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: XS

I used it for biking during rainy or/and windy days, it works perfect for both, it is very easy to pack it on my camelbak and even on my jersey pockets.

I bought the xs size and fits well, it fills a little tight when I stretch my arms in front of me, so I think a small one would be better.

    Best lightweight jacket!

I layer this on top of everything!

I live in the northeast and you know how the weather can get brutal. This jacket comes in handy for all kinds of weather. If it's warm out but there's a slight breeze, I throw this on top of my shirt and I'm good to go. If it's 20 degrees out, I have a couple of layers on, I put this on top to trap the dead air inside and keeps myself way warmer than a bulky jacket would. I always have this in my daypack when I leave the house. I don't notice the extra weight at only 3 ounces! However the sleeves around the wrist area have already started to show signs of wear and tear.

Rainy days on the bike, running, or hiking just got a little bit better with this jacket. It's super lightweight and is a no brainer when heading out on warmer days in the rain. Love this layer to keep me dry and comfortable outdoors. Can't get much lighter than this. I wasn't sure how much I would use this piece when I first got it, but since have been putting it through the wringer and enjoying it every time I take it out. It's also an easy piece to pack away in your bag for those days with questionable weather.
