Haven’t taken it off yet.
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I got this today and was unsure if I was going to have buyers remorse. From the second I put it on, I loved it. The greens are beautiful. I really thought the yellow green was going to be more on the yellow side but that’s not true at all. I read reviews that it was tight on the hips and in the shoulders. I can relate with the shoulders - when I put it on it seemed a little snug but once you have it on you don’t notice. There is also a zipper on the left hip. I’d assume that’s for ease of taking the jacket off. the material is wonderful. It’s not plastic-y or gross like some rain jackets. It has three layers too, so it’s not plastic-y on the inside either. It’s got a tapered hem at the waist so it covers your butt, but is the perfect length in the front. The hood has the little visor piece so water does not drip into your eyes. There is also a drawstring to make the face hole smaller. I cannot attest to the true function of the jacket, for it’s sunny and 50° today but I trust it will hold up well, being made by mountain hardwear with gore-tex. For size reference, I’m 5’8” and about 155 lbs. I got a medium.

Perfect for West Coast Winters!
I bought this jacket looking for a lightweight, durable, waterproof rain jacket. It has lived up to all expectations as a fantastic shell that can withstand the damp and rainy west coast. It had help up fantastic in wind and rain. It is not a heavy jacket (paclite) but is very wind resistant and quite cozy with a sweater or thicker layer underneath and has kept me dry so far. I am 5'5 and 125 lbs and I ordered the medium size which is perfect for me as I like to layer up underneath. I picked this design vs. the zip up of the paclite simply for esthetic reasons but love how the pullover has a pocket perfect for a phone and a comfy central pocket that keeps your hands nice and cozy. Only thing I didnt realize was that the venting zip is only down one side and not both but not a major issue as the jacket it quite breathable. Highly recommend!
