The super-deep chest zipper presents not only a unique look, but an opportunity for effective ventilation in warmer weather. Quarter-length side zips also work to air things out, so you'll never have to choose between being dry or being comfortable.

  • Gore-Tex Paclite compresses to fit in your pack
  • Waterproof and breathable membrane protects from mountain showers
  • Stretch fabric enhances movement for climbing sessions
  • Deep chest zipper and side zips provide ventilation
  • Zippered chest pocket keeps essentials secure while climbing

Great lightweight waterproof rain jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: L

I took my new rain jacket out for a spin yesterday morning knowing it was supposed to rain. It was chilly out when I started, but the jacket was roomy enough to have my vest on underneath. The kangaroo pocket was great for storing a waffle and my gloves. The chest pocket also comfortably fit my iphone8. I didn’t feel restricted with my movements at all.

When the rain started it was a light drizzle at first. The jacket shed the drops and I was still reaching into the pockets for my phone to take pictures. Once it was raining cats and dogs I pulled the hood up and continued to stay dry even through sideways rain. The last 1/2 mile it started to hail and still no issues with the jacket. Best rain jacket I’ve had in over a decade.

Only drawback is trying to shuck the jacket in a downpour. Pulling it up over my head, I managed to dump a bucket of water on my dry clothes. I’m sure with more practice I’ll become efficient.

How to Measure:
All measurements correspond to equivalent body measurements, not the dimensions of the garment. For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Chest:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Sleeve:
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
