Crater Lake Long-Sleeve Hoodie

The Mountain Hardwear Crater Lake Long-Sleeve Hoodie is ready for nearly any summer adventure, from weekends spent backpacking to days spent on a multi-pitch or on the river. It features a stretchy material that keeps you moving freely while synthetic fibers wick away sweat and dry quickly to keep you cool. Rated to UPF 50+, this shirt protects your skin from the harmful rays of the sun, and provides coverage all the way to your head and hands thanks to a fixed hood and thumbholes.

  • Hooded shirt for sunny summer adventures
  • Synthetic material wicks away perspiration and dries quickly
  • Stretchy material won't inhibit your motion
  • UPF 50+ defends your skin from the sun's harmful rays
  • Hood extends coverage to include your head and neck
  • Thumbhole cuffs secure the sleeves for coverage
  • Drawcord hem customizes the length

Great in theory, but poor quality

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: S

The shirt is comfortable, lightweight, and generally cozy,, but it falls apart so quickly! The first day I wore it, the entire shirt fell apart! The threads around the thumbholes immediately wore out and fuzzed out after just 30 minutes of hiking. Then, during the day of climbing, the shirt ripped after grazing the rock by my wrist. I definitely wouldn't recommend this for climbing, but will keep using the shirt (after patching up the sleeve) for hiking and glacier travel.

How to Measure:
All measurements correspond to equivalent body measurements, not the dimensions of the garment. For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Bust:
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Sleeve:
Have a friend measure from the center of your back to your wrist.
Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Inseam:
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
