A fine specimen of the versatility genus, the Millet Men's Trilogy Storm Wool Hooded Jacket provides premium protection as you climb, hike, or tackle the skin track. The Trilogy is designed to combat whatever Mother Nature throws your way thanks to it stretchy, multi-use design and sporty, regular fit.
More specifically, the Trilogy features a Element Shield Flywool 3-layer construction, which is not only highly breathable and weather-resistant, but also extremely stretchy for unimpeded mobility as you climb or post-hole your way through the backcountry. A large, adjustable hood doubles down on your protection, and the hem and cuffs are also adjustable for a personalized fit and feel. However, should you begin to warm up, the zippered underarm vents offer on-the-go temperature regulation which dumps excess body heat quickly—so you don't have to make a pit-stop unless you want to. Not to mention, the bevvy of pockets keep all of your necessities close at hand.

My new favorite softshell
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size

Was replacing a Patagonia Mixed Guide Hoody, which, up to this point, had been my go-to jacket. Super love the Millet. Never owned anything from them before, but love the fit, love how it wear, and love the wool-blend lining. The brighter and bolder the look of the jacket, the better, as far as I'm concerned. This did not disappoint on that front, either.
Highly recommend! Its worth the money. I've seen people mention the sleeves are a little long, but that's never something I noticed or thought about. Great great jacket.

This is one of my new favorite jacket. Light rain beads off it and everything fits nice and tailored. While the jacket is not waterproof (does not have taped seems), it does offer great protection from the elements. A wool lining helps regulate temperature and the storm hood is low profile and hugs the head nicely. Being a jacket that is touring and climbing oriented (stretches and has higher up pockets) it does not have a helmet compatible hood. The jacket also has longer sleeves than your standard US brands but I do not mind a little scrunch to my sleeve. If you are on the taller and lankier side of things, give this a go for your next spring jacket.
