    Force AM Tire

Designed for the rigors of competitive enduro racing, the Michelin Force AM 29in Tire fulfills the needs of riders thrashing their tires across demanding terrain with hard-packed dirt littered with jarring rocks and roots. It's a bit faster rolling than many tires in the "all-mountain" category, making it ideally suited for running in the rear with a slightly more aggressive tire up front. The Trail Shield casing is ruggedly reinforced from sidewall slashes and abrasive punctures on notoriously technical trails, courtesy of its high-density protection layer.

Michelin's GumX3D compound strategically employs three rubber compounds for the best in fast-rolling efficiency, tread longevity, and tenacious cornering grip. As expected, the center features the hardest rubber compound for faster rolling and greater tread longevity. The rubber compounds get softer as you work towards the shoulder knobs for tons of cornering grip when you're laying into turns and carving around sweeping berms.

    • All-mountain tire with fast-rolling tread pattern
    • Trail Shield casing features high-density reinforcement
    • GumX3D compound balances rolling speed with cornering grip
    • Tubeless-ready for gaining bump compliance and traction

Great Smooth Tire with Great grip

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: 29"

I got these after looking all around and reviewing different tires. I am a amateur rider, this is my first year of MTB riding on a regular basis. I have a 2016 Trek Marlin 5 and installed the Michelin's Force 29" x 2.25 front and back. The old tires were 29 x 2.20 and compared to my old tires, these are smooth, better uphill grip, than the old tires, great over the bumps and roots. They were nice and smooth over pavement as well! I am 6'01" and about 240lbs and had the tires at 30 PSI.
I didn't NEED new tires, but entering my first MTB race on July 11,2020 and wanted some new tires for this race. (7 miles with 1,100 ft elevation) and hope these tires do not let me down, but I think, they will not. I will def look into these again or stagger the Force in the back and Wild AM in the front, due to I ride ALOT of mixed terrain.

      Great deal on rubber

I am never stoked on buying tires but these were a great bang for buck purchase in my humble opinion. Great traction and did I mention what a good price .?.

These are actually pretty good. After wasting a few hours and 8oz / $15 worth of orange Seal, I finally figured out that Trek Bontrager "Tubeless Ready" wheels still need to be taped. Once I taped the rims, these tires were easy to install, and the combination of extra width, light weight, and lower pressure running tubeless really made a big difference in the ride and traction on my daughter's Trek Excalibur 8. These tires are a great deal, and worth a try.

      bought to try out

      • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

bought this for my daughters bike to start racing mtb. didn't want to spend a lot. have been really happy with how it's held up.

Funny - I'm doing the same thing...
