Versatile shoe with Gore-Tex water protection
Versatile shoe with Gore-Tex water protection. I have the lightweight Moab 2 also. That one has the mesh upper, and water soaks through fairly easily. So on rainy days, or just after the rain is over, I switch to my Moab 2 with Gore-Tex. Unlike the Moab waterproof version, which I find is too watertight for comfort, the Gore-Tex version is just as soft and comfortable as the lightweight version.

Excellent shoe.
I took these right out of the box, fit like a glove. I wore them for a whole week of touring in Iceland. Very comfortable. I also got the ones that were waterproof, and that was wonderful when walking into a glacier that had lots of ice and slush to walk through.

New design, too narrow!
Complete redesign of this shoe. I like the color and the style. But the shoe is super narrow now. I used to always order the gtx 15D and now it doesn’t fit. Just not as comfy as it used to be.

Worn well.
Well worn through all types of weather and on all types of terrain. My goto for when it's wet and wild. After over a year very little wear.

Well made hiking shoe
Very well made and solid hiking shoe. Firm sole that keeps even footing on rough terrain. Water beads and runs off the gore-tex but did soak through the mesh in rain.

Moab 2
I’ve been wearing these for a few years. I use them for work, which sometimes finds me in the elements. They’ve consistently kept my feet dry and provided traction in all types of inclement weather conditions. Only reason they get four out of five is they rarely last more than a year. Note, I’m pretty hard on my shoes so it could be that.

Dry and comfortable
Very light weight and Goretex does an excellent job of feet dry in snow slush in the neighborhood.

My favorite shoes!
I’ve worn these shoes everywhere I’ve the past 2 years. They’ve been hiking the Grand Canyon, Zion, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, and more. They’ve been through cities both in the US and Europe and have been amazing the whole time. These are great all around shoes and not just for hiking!

Perfect mud/cold/cool season hiker
Fall winter spring mud season dog hiking in cold and/or wet weather. Probably not a summer hiker. Runs warm.
