Ksyrium Merino Knee Warmer

Despite the name, shoulder seasons actually put your knees at risk more than your shoulders. Protect those exposed hinges with Mavic's Ksyrium Merino Knee Warmers, whose blend of merino wool and synthetics create an insulating layer that doesn't lose warmth when damp and will stretch and return to accommodate your pedal stroke without slouching down over your calves. The wool element is also naturally odor-resistant, which is a benefit for those of us who always forget to add our warmers to the laundry pile.

  • Insulating warmers that protect your most exposed joints
  • Merino wool insulates and naturally resists odor
  • Synthetic blend moves with you through the pedal stroke
  • Seamless construction keeps irritation to a minimum
  • Stealth aesthetics with a splash of high-viz Mavic branding

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

if you like constantly scratching your itchy legs while riding or sitting still, these are for you. the tags only say “wool”. no where does it say merino. mavic fraudulently relabled these as merino. not soft nor comfortable. DO NOT BUY THESE. not worth the price!

A bit of a Joke

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

Open disclosure: I'm trying to replace one of my absolute favorite cycling specific items of all time (which are no longer available), Ibex Wool Knee Warmers. This pair from Mavic fall short in every category. They are paper thin - as in wore them sitting in the house, and they barely created more warmth than without. They have zero retention system to keep them in place, which means that with the most subtle movement - they want to fall down. I do understand that they'll be tucked under my riding shorts, but again - compared to my ol' trusty Ibex... they fall short for sure. If you are looking for the ultimate in a minimal design; these might be worth you looking into, but just know a head of time - they really are very very minimal in every regard.

p.s. - if anyone knows where I can pickup a pair of L Ibex Knee Warmers, please feel free to share!!! Thanks!
