Casual and cozy.

Zip yourself into the Marmot Men's Wrangell Fleece Jacket's cozy sweater fleece fabric to stay warm on brisk fall days and cool spring nights. Whether you're hiking through foggy forests or strolling around town on a wintry evening, the soft fleece traps heat and wicks moisture away from your skin to keep you warm. You can even layer it under a shell in the winter when you head up to the ski slopes. Nylon reinforcements add durability, and the adjustable hem seals out chilly drafts.

  • Nylon reinforcement
  • Regular fit
  • Zippered pockets
  • Elastic drawcord hem

Bleeds heat even in light wind

I love this jacket...but add even a weak breeze when it’s any temperature under 60F and you will feel it through the material . I do love this jacket, fit is outstanding, looks great, but when I take the dog for an evening walk I have to layer a long sleeve anything under this or else I’ll be cold. Pretty disappointing given the price.

    Fabric pilling issues

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

This jacket is great for the first couple of weeks. Warm, comfortable, nice looking. However, it's not durable.

After 3-4 weeks of use, the fabric started to pill. My regular activities while wearing the jacket were typing at a computer at my desk, not rock climbing in Yosemite. The part of the sleeves that come in contact with the smooth desk surface as I rested my arms soon pilled so badly that I returned the jacket. Wrangell jacket #2 did the same thing. Finally I returned the second jacket and am choosing one from a different brand.

Couldn't be happier with Backcountry's customer service, but steer clear of this Marmot jacket.

    Great Casual Fleece

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

This is a great, thick fleece jacket. I love the look, with the softshell shoulder panels - to distinguish it from the Patagonia Better Sweater. I tend to wear it in the fall and late spring and it keeps me nice and warm. I bought size large and it fits perfectly.

    Versatile

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Medium

This is a nice, thick, tight-woven fleece. I got the darker blue on clearance and have worn it as an outer and a mid-layer. I like the bit of nylon shell on the shoulders -- I think it will help it hold up over time with wear from bag straps. The only downside is that the sleeve cuffs could be improved with a better stretch fabric, but overall it's a great jacket.

Measure around the thickest part of your neck, holding tape loosely.
    Sleeve:
Measure from the center of your back to your wrist with arms held out.
    Waist:
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
    Hip:
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
