    Great hat!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This hat is lightweight and fits well. Great for running. The brim is nice and flat to begin with as well--which I prefer.

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I would have liked this cap were it not for the logo that is on the side of the cap not in the photo. This is a misleading photo, sorry to see backcountry do this, I hope it was not intentional.

    great hat

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Lightweight, used it for hiking and running. Usually run in old cotton ball caps but this thing breathes much better. not totally mesh like some other models.

Used it for hiking and it was perfect for that as well, wicks nicey.

However watch out as this this is light. I had my first one blown away in a storm and I had to get a new one!

    Perfect Lid

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Super lightweight, breathable, adjustable and comfortable, wicks sweat and dries fast, durable, and most importantly it blocks the sun.

This is ideal for virtually every backcountry foray, except extreme cold or when you need to wear a helmet. I sometimes wear a Buff with it to protect the back of my neck when exposed to intense sun. I have also worn my Buff in "hat mode" as a liner underneath in cold conditions to add warmth while still keeping the sun off my face.

Super versatile, indispensable hat. Wouldn't change a thing about it.

Exactly what I was looking for!

This is a great hat for hiking. It keeps the sun out of my eyes and off my head, and also helps keep the sweat from running down my face.

And it only looks a little goofy on me, but that's probably not the hats fault

    Marmot Simpson Hiking Cap Rocks!

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

My son used this hat on a recent 40-mile trip on California's Lost Coast Trail. He appreciated the vent holes and deep brim for cooling and shade from the all-day-every-day sun. The blue color (no longer carried by bc.com?) looked nice with his "blue sapphire" Marmot Precip jacket.

Great Summer Cap in a very Cool shade of blue.

    True Blue

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share
    • Fit: True to size

Well, I actually got this as a gift; but since I don't wear ball caps, I gave it to a friend of mine instead (re-gift? No, not really, since it wasn't presented as a gift, just 'here, you can use this').

Anyway, he says it's really comfortable, and breezy (he works outdoors a lot and needs a cap, and was surprised at how much air flows through this cap.

Great color, too...as we both like blue, so it worked out great.

    nice n cool!

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
    • Fit: True to size

Sweet hat! nice vents on the side to keep your head cool. I use it for warm, sunny days on the mountain, or hiking in the back country.
