A fine specimen of versatility.
Old man winter has a propensity for throwing a curb ball in terms of weather predictability, and the Marmot Women's Regina 3-in-1 Jacket is designed to tackle just about everything that old man winter might throw your way. The Regina boasts two layers that can be worn on their lonesome (be it the shell or liner), or they can be paired together for relentless warmth.
More specifically, this jacket features a fully waterproof and breathable MemBrain shell that keeps frozen rain and snowfall at bay, while the synthetic liner is designed to keep you warm even when wet. The Regina is fashioned with a myriad of pockets to keep necessities like snacks or a wallet close at hand. Not to mention, the hood is entirely removable for customized protection and style. - Q & A
Great Jacket, Great Price
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: Large
I purchased this jacket after looking at many different styles, both from Marmot and Patagonia and this jacket was by far the best deal. Worn with the zip-out, quilted liner (which makes a nice jacket on it's own), it is very warm without too much bulk. The fit is generous through the hips which works for my pear shape. I ordered a large, although I'm really a medium on top, but always have to accommodate my wider hips, but it doesn't look like I'm swimming in it on top, and the velcro wrist closures keep it from coming too far down on my hands. I would rate it 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that it could use more pockets, specifically, a small one on the outside, top of the coat where I could put my ski pass and maybe an additional inside pocket. I love the teal color and the blue liner is a nice contrast.
