Whether you're most at home on groomed skate-ski trails, in your snowshoes, or trudging up the skintrack, take the Marmot Women's Palisades Jacket along on your next active day outside to stay warm but unencumbered while you work hard. With its breathable Gore-Tex construction, powder skirt, and rugged storm hood, the Palisades is more than capable of staying dry and blocking wind on stormy, snowy summits. Marmot also made sure it would preserve your freedom of movement and not get in the way by using its Angel Wing construction, which won't hold you back on technical trails, bootpacks, or climbs.
Every day can't be a storm day, of course, so for the sunny bluebird days on the trail or at the resort, Marmot includes underarm vents and an airy mesh lining to wick moisture and prevent you from overheating when you're working hard. A plethora of pockets with water-resistant zippers will keep your pass, phone, and midday snacks safe and dry, and plush DriClime fabric on the collar prevents dreaded chin chafing on long days.

- Q & A
- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I have obsessively researched ski coats looking for the perfect one, and found this jacket. Great features, quality, price, and style. But... alas! For whatever reason the armpits were super tight (preventing layering underneath), and the arms were a tad short. This really surprised me as typically the Marmot size Medium works great. Maybe they changed their sizing in the last 2-3 years? I'm bummed because I thought this was the one, but the armpits are just too tight. I'm 5'4", curvy. Great jacket if you don't have super broad shoulders.
Warm, breathable, active!

This jacket has been my every day, every condition ski jacket for the past few seasons. From frigid blizzards to soggy spring days, this shell has seen it all- and has seen it brilliantly!
I have never worn a jacket that protects me from rain, snow, and wind the way this jacket does. It is compatible with various liners and it proves to be roomy enough to comfortably layer underneath, but to not feel overwhelmed. It is a super versatile option for any weather condition. That being said, it is a heavier weight shell, due to some of the additions (powder skirt, pit zips, ample pocket storage, removable hood) but as a snorkel seeking snowboarder- the powder skirt is a life saver! These are all aspects I wouldn't sacrifice for a lighter jacket. Plus, the pit zips allow for MAX breathability!
Pull the trigger folks- this jacket is the one! And, if anything goes awry - that lifetime warranty is there waiting for you!
