Good ski pant for it's price

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: L

The pant does its job being a functioning ski pant. The material is durable that is waterproof. It performs well for Spring Skiing but left me shivered in the middle of a cold winter. I used this pant for Alpine skiing where the temperature was around 10F at the moutaintop and my legs were freezing especially on a ski lift. It just did not cut the wind enough, at least not as much as my other pant (Arcteryx Sabre). I wish the pant came with vent zippers.
The pant runs a bit on a smaller side so I had to return for one size bigger.

Budget minded, solid pants.

I snagged these pants for a impromptu ski day after realizing my pants went missing after a few too many moves. They aren't anything too fancy, but get the job done cutting the wind and snow from leaving you frozen with a soggy bottom. The fabric is pretty lightweight, and lacks insulation, but that was to be expected. I snagged the Tan color, which is true to how it looks in person, and they were super comfortable. I normally wear men's ski pants because I prefer a looser, more relaxed fit, and these definitely provided that.

Solid Snow Pant Without All the Bells!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

These pants were actually a pleasant surprise for me. They are very lightweight, and I thought maybe a bit thin at first contact. I was not sure they would cut the wind well enough to keep me warm on the slopes. However, The 2-layer Membrain has worked amazingly and I have been quite happy in these down in the 20's with nothing more than a midweight merino base layer underneath.
The fit is great overall and I would say pretty true to size. Maybe a tad long for me in Medium, but that is to be expected as I am 5'6 and stocky. Most guys 5'7" - 5'9" with a 32-33 waist would likely find this to be a perfect fit. Not too relaxed, although I wouldn't call them "slim -fit" either, they have the right amount of room for skiing. A great option for snowshoeing or really any winter activities where you do not necessarily need a heavy Gore pant. There are two zippered hand pockets which are a decent size, but other than that these are very basic with no leg vents or additional pockets. Which is fine for me, and I haven't had a problem overheating in these at all. But if you are planning on touring than the vents may be a killer for you - hence the only reason for 4 vs 5 stars here. For only 130 Dabloons, these are a super solid Inbound ski pant for most days on the mountain.
