Marmot Alpinist Bib Pant - Men's
MarmotAlpinist Bib Pant - Men's

Knows no boundaries on the mountain.

The Marmot Men's Alpinist Bib Pant is highly breathable for your alpine ascents and weather-protective for your ski sessions. A Gore-Tex Pro membrane with fully taped seams places a waterproof wall between you and any wet weather you might come across. The rugged nylon shell durably withstands scraping against rock and crud. Cordura scuff guards overlay the bib's most critical areas so you have this powerful pair of pants for a long time. Softshell back and side panels give the flexibility and breathability you need for all your backcountry skiing and snowboarding sessions.

A regular fit keeps the Alpinist close to your legs and thighs for less bulk that doesn't restrict your movement. Water-resistant full-length side zips help you take this pant on and off quickly. The bib's suspenders are adjustable so you get an excellent fit every time. Internal gaiters keep snow out of your boots. A drawcord at the hem tightens across your waist, and anatomic articulated legs help you hike up those powder-capped peaks with unrestricted movement.

Riding in the Rain, excellent!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

These bibs are fantastic, in the Northwest, sometime if you want to ride it is in the rain, it is what it is! Well this weekend, base 37F, mid-mountain 34F and raining hard, I was dry as dry can be after two hours of slushing it down the mountain, these bibs were great! A must buy for those wanting to stay dry and keep the snow on the outside.

Quality!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Small

I primarily use these bibs for skiing and snowboarding; they have been perfect for me! The regular fit gives you plenty of room in the legs without being baggy at all. They are a little tighter around the boots but still got room to work with. The double zippers on the side legs and torso are very convenient. I suggest these bibs for your winter alpine needs!

UBER BIB

The Marmot Alpinist bib is definitely a go-anywhere, do-anything ski bib. The fit is loose enough for underlayers, but has adjustments to "trim it down" so that it works great at resorts....It's real shine is in the backcountry; AT, X-C, ice climbing, even snowshoeing. other bibs I've used either didn't vent enough, or were so loose and floppy that it was hard to get them cinched down enough to keep he wind and moisture out. I live and play in Valdez, AK where the rain and snow never stop and short of dumping a yak, I stay dry and comfortable. When the wind gets to howling, these bibs again excel, blocking the high velocity gusts and all the moisture they carry. If you are able to drop the cash, these bibs are WORTH IT! Remember they also come with a lifelong warranty!

I have used this bib for the past year. It is made by one of my go to companies. It hits all the right buttons with design and durability.
