Rime IN Hybrid Flex Jacket

No one's ever been in the middle of a high-altitude trek and wished they felt colder and more restricted. Movement is paramount when exploring technical terrain, and thanks to the Mammut Rime IN Hybrid Flex Jacket you'll have all the mobility and easy-layering warmth that you need for your demanding cold-weather pursuits. It's built with lightweight Pertex Quantum Air fabric, which resists water, lets you move freely, and offers breathable comfort during activity. On the inside, Toray Stretch insulation provides comfortable warmth without the bulk, ensuring that this jacket can slide easily under layers and won't limit your movement when you're reaching for a hold or scrambling towards the summit. Elastic cuffs and an adjustable hem keep out the cold without adding weight, while backpack and harness compatible pockets ensure that gear and snacks are always within reach.

  • Low-bulk insulator with lots of easy movement and comfortable warmth
  • Pertex Quantum Air shell resists water and breathes well
  • Toray Stretch insulation moves with you on tricky climbing routes
  • Zippered hand pockets are easy to reach with a harness or pack on
  • Elastic cuffs and drawstring hem seal out the cold

Great Insulating Piece

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

I have had this jacket for about 6 months and have loved it. It is light, not bulky, and extremely warm. I like the stretch in it especially. I have used this for just wearing around town, on hikes, camping, and as a 2nd layer snowboarding.

Surprisingly warm

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Large

For a jacket that is as light as a feather I was pleasantly surprised how warm it is, and resistant to wind and rain penetration. I may have some reservation on how tear resistant the shell may be, so it certainly won't be my outer layer when skiing through the woods. Nevertheless the quality of construction is excellent, and the low bulk makes for a great insulating inner layer.

Hey Erik! Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review! I am stoked to hear you love the jacket!

Perfect amount of movement

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

You can use this jacket everywhere . I like how it fits and feels and good looking ofcourse. It’s lightweight. Got this for my dad and he loves this !

Amazing coat

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

This is an amazing coat - I was looking for something I can wear in moderate temperatures - high 30's to low 5's both for walking around and activities. It is light and good for travel. I bought the blue color, which is bright and I don't know how much dirt it will show, but warm, comfortable

Awesome Jacket

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I don't normally write reviews, but there are very few (if any) reviews on this Mammut Rime jacket. My research for a light-weight mid layer/jacket led me to several options. I decided to give the Rime a chance because of great experiences with Mammut clothes. I use the jacket primarily as a stand-alone layer, but wearing it under my ski jacket makes for a very warm and cozy experience. This jacket seems way too light to be this warm, but it is light and warm. I have used it for hiking in 30-45degree weather with just a light baselayer (merino150) and have been very comfortable. The side panels are a perforated fleece-type material that vent body heat nicely without creating any cold spots inside the jacket. The fit is exactly what I expected. My measurements are at the high end of Mammut's Medium range - 40 chest, 33 waist. Since this is an athletic cut and I wear it mostly as a stand alone jacket, I went with a Large. The jacket fits great as a top layer but still fits comfortably as a mid layer. The jacket is really well made - seams are nicely done, all the zippers work flawlessly, and pockets are set high to clear a harness. I haven't been caught in a downpour, but it nicely repels a light rain. I am very pleased with the performance of this jacket.

How to Measure:
For best results, take measurements over your underwear.
Measure under your arms, around the fullest part of your chest.
Measure around your natural waistline, keeping the tape a bit loose.
Measure around the fullest part of your body at the top of your legs.
Using pants that fit well, measure the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
