    Quality

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

Got this for my wife last year thought the quality was great but after a year the armpits on both sides have massive stretch holes which makes no sense at all. Generally love mammut but this is kind of a let down at 150$.

    Flattering but

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: Medium

I read the reviews and was excited to try this top. It is very attractive and flattering. The fabric is a bit thinner than I expected, and doesn't feel as nice against my skin as other similar tops I own but it does breathe well. The fit is also tighter than expected, I wear medium tops in Patagonia, OR, Arcteryx even on their slim styles and I still found this item to be a bit tighter than I'd like. I agree on the nice freedom of movement the way the fabric is sewn around the shoulders and arms. Also agree that I'd like the neck zip opening to be a a couple of inches longer for better ventilation. I think I'll keep this top because it's cute, but I'm not as in love with it as I wanted to be.

    impressive fit

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: True to size
    • Size Bought: Large

This is a versatile piece with a great fit. The tailoring is exceptional and allows freedom to move and a feminine look. The underarm gusseting is much better than other pieces from different brands I have tried. I have broader shoulders and chest than a lot of ladies and found this to fit my body type very well. It is medium weight and wicks well. the thumb holes are really soft so work for wearing and for keeping in place during layering. I found it to be a true to size fit with a more generous fit than a next to skin layer. The only feature that could be improved if you are planning for a high output activity such as ski touring is that I would prefer the zipper to go further down to more easily dump hear.

    Flattering and functional!

We haven’t had much snow yet this season, so I haven’t had a chance to wear this layer for ski touring, but this top has been my go-to piece this season for climbing and hiking! Don't let the fact that it's thin fool you into thinking it's not warm. I wore it climbing for the first time on a 34 degree day with only a tank underneath and as soon as I started moving I started to immediately overheat. It’s an especially cool piece because it provides a warm, moisture-wicking layer while still maintaining enough breathability to allow your body to vent when working hard.

A lot of baselayer tops I own feel really restrictive after you’ve thrown a layer underneath. Not this one! With the gusseted under arms and stretch panel on the upper back I can move around freely without feeling like I’m wearing 16 layers. Total bonus!

Fit: I’m 5’7” and 124lbs. I typically wear a medium in most tops because I have broad shoulders. The medium in this fits me perfectly. It has a really lovely tapered fit (yay for not looking like a box), but still gives room to add a layer or two. I have pretty long arms, and the sleeves are a perfect length on me.

First off, this top is very flattering . The photos don't do it justice. It's pieced together to enhance and show of your natural curves. So, it's crucial that you have this on if you need to impress someone, at the top of the skin track. Just don't let them take a photo of you while you're in the middle of eating.. ;)

But more important than the aesthetics, this design gives you a full range of movement, without displacing the shirt. It has a good length too, so you don't have to worry about it riding up and exposing skin.

This mapping on this is extremely well-thought-out, for both warmth and breathability. It's not my thickest base layer, but it's the one I want to get sweaty in. This will be your first choice for hard hikes, cold runs, and every ski tour. It breathes really well, while providing some warmth and protection from the elements.

Make sure you wear this next to skin. I wore a base layer under it, on a colder day. But, that just prevented the shirt from working properly and I just got soaked. So, keep this one next to body, so you don't soak up your clothes with sweat, and catch a chill.

I have between using this for ski touring and hiking, but also in the resort. It's easy to work up a sweat in the restort, and the last thing you want is to be sweaty on the chair lift. So basically, I've been living in this base layer, this season. It's doesn't easily stink up, which is a HUGE PLUS!

The fit is perfect for me and really comfortable. I'm typically a medium and got a medium in this. Base layers are often a little too tight and short and in the waist, for me. But, this is spot on, in the medium size. I'm 5'8, 135lbs.
