Great for Gym Climbing!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Most gyms require you to use chalk balls to help keep things clean. Pick one of these up when you run out!

A+ Quality & Kid size

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Purchased for my 8y/o daughter. Size works perfectly for her use, great quality & durability upon inspection. Easy to use.

Good for beginners

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is useful if you don't like loose chalk in your chalk bag. You have to reapply often if you want good coverage on your hands.

Good Temporary ball.

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

This ball isn't refillable. You can see if you pay close attention to the picture. However, I did not. I would always recommend a refillable chalk ball. This would be great if you just need it for a trip or something quick.

Its not bad

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The downside to this chalk is that it is like others have said hard to get out. It does the job but its still not the easiest chalk to get on your hands. I had better luck poking a little bigger holes around the bag to optimize chalk flow! It works!

Horrible!

It's worth more to pay a dollar more for a chalk ball that actually chalks your hands.

    Tough to get chalk out

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I'm by no means a high-level climber and this was my first experience using chalk on a regular basis. I use it mainly at climbing gyms and I have to say compared to my husband's white gold chalk ball, this chalk really fails the test. First, it's tough to get the chalk unless you pull it completely out of your pouch and slam it into your hands (and this is after a month of regular use). Second, even once you get the chalk applied, it's just not as tacky as the white gold. Chalk is fairly cheap to begin with, so I'd recommend springing for the white gold, it's worth it.

    Worst Chalk

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is the worst chalk I've ever used. You have to squeeze hard to get any chalk out of it and the chalk barely lasts. Not worth the purchase.

    Chalk it up

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Not as nice as the black diamond chalk, but it works.
