Warm and wind-breaking.

The Louis Garneau Wind Pro Zip Leg Warmers use Light Wind Pro for exceptional wind-blocking performance. Made with a very tight construction that blocks four times more wind than traditional fleece, Light Wind Pro fabric insulates your lower legs from becoming cold and cramped-up on long, chilly rides. It's also highly breathable, allowing built-up perspiration to evaporate when you're working up a sweat. Plus, its UPF 50 rating ensures proper protection from harmful UV rays on sunny days.

Featuring a nine-inch zipper running from the ankle on up, these leg warmers are super easy to take on and off. Super Light Grips along the upper thighs stabilize the leg warmers without adding excess bulk. Articulated knees promote full mobility and unrestricted pedaling. Other important features include smooth flatlock seams to eliminate irritation, as well as reflective accents for boosted visibility at night.

Note the difference in length, reflective accents, and silicone "dappling" on the outside of the PI warmers in addition to a silicon gripper on the inside. Why no one else ever did this, and PI abandoned it, is beyond me. The best idea in warmers EVER!

Excellent spring/fall; Too small

These aren't warm enough for temps below 50-55, but are so light they'll be perfect for spring mornings and fall evenings on group rides. If only they were 2" longer...

The fabric is lightweight, but very nice. Not nearly as tight as PI Barrier using my "hold tight over the mouth and blow thru it" test, but a nice dense fleece with excellent 4-way stretch.

The mesh "gripper" is a novel approach, and isn't all that grippy, but using long shorts with high compression they stayed in place nicely, and no irritation. You need to dress from the bottom up though; socks, warmers, bib shorts.

The mesh and very short length do prevent bunching on the inside the thighs against the seat; if you have this problem. Not sure if they would stay in place under bib tights as a 2nd layer though. My PI will, as they have silicone grippers on BOTH sides at the top of the warmer.

As the photo shows, these are over 4" shorter in size L than my 10yr old PI, and over 2" shorter than my new Voler warmers. I have a 29" inseam, so I find the PI a bit long, but the Garneau are too short, and not quite big enough to accommodate my heavy snowboarding socks either. Order a size larger, and use them on warmer days and you will likely love them.

Super light, warm, and comfortable!!

I get cold easily, but this leg warmer is so light and warm. I rode 47-51 degrees this morning and my legs were warm. I did not notice the wind even when I was riding at 35 mph on downhills. It felt like I wasn’t wearing leg warmers because it was so comfortable and light. It didn’t slide down from my thighs and it looks really nice. The long zippers work well! How I wish they make different colors. It’s true size. 5’7” 175 lbs Martertial is amazing. Highly recommended to those winter warriors.

    What size did you get???

    Just the ticket

This is my first pair of leg warmers and these are just what I was looking for. Great for chilly mornings that may warm up later in the day. Easy on and off.

Albert, what size are you wearing (I'm assuming L)? I'm the exact same height and weight as you.

    Just what you need!

When it comes to leg warmers, look no further. These leg warmers are great. They don't slide down and are pretty warm with a great feel. My go to out on long cold rides.

    Perfect 30-50F choice

    • Size Bought: Small

Super light weight means they pack easily into a jersey pocket, yet they keep me comfortably warm from about 30-50F. I'm 5'5" 130lbs and the Small fits perfectly. Good grip without feeling too tight or bunching behind the knee.

    Very good product

Remarkably warm as they feel somewhat thin. Easy on/off. Good long ankle zips/ Most importantly they stay up. No bunching behind the knee.
