Take it to the trails.

Louis Garneau got known for its road gear, but it's been stretching its tentacles out into the MTB scene for some time now with offerings like the Stream TechFit Men's Shorts, a tough but flexible bit of kit that's as at home pedaling hard as it is getting enduro. Made from a blend of polyester and spandex, the TechFit balances durability with stretch, and is finished with a DWR coating that sheds water to keep your legs dry when you're cruising down rain-soaked trails and across soggy singletrack. If you get warm, air intake perforations will help you lower the temperature a few degrees, while the seamless inseams and partially elasticized waist keep irritation to a minimum and kick fit issues to the curb. Garneau finished the TechFit off with three zippered pockets, because nothing's worse than getting to the bottom and realizing your phone bounced out somewhere on the trail.

No belt loops!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Firstly I'd say it's a great pair of shorts. Like the other review says it's stretch and fit (not bulky). There're a few small vents between legs which give more "tech" feel and more breathable. Color is great, that fits different colors of shirts. Large zip pockets keep things secure. The only thing I can not give a 5-star is that they have no belt, or even belt loops! They are a little bit larger than my waist so if I'm not raiding a bike I feel the shorts keeping dropping down. Hope they could fix this in next version and I'm gonna buy another.

Stretchy and fitted

These are super comfortable for all range of motion. They are stretchy. They are right at the knee. Well made. Have handy unobtrusive zip pockets. Very light. No liner, but I wear bib short under them and works great.
