Protect those digits.
Those hands of yours are stuck out there in the elements, shifting, braking, and controlling your machine as you spin away on the arctic roads and trails. Louis Garneau knows just how important it is that those digits are looked after out there, which is why it created the new Monsoon Gloves.
As the name implies, the Monsoon gloves were designed to keep your hands warm and dry through brutal downpours and cold conditions. This is made possible due to a full 3mm neoprene construction. This dense, rubber-like material provides the perfect balance of insulating warmth, water-repellency, and low bulk. These pre-shaped gloves also follow the contours of your hands and fingers, and they're completely waterproof, as Garneau sealed all of their seams.
The Monsoon gloves also feature extended cuffs, which ensure that your wrists stay protected from the elements when paired with a long sleeve jersey or vest. A palm grip pattern was added to make sure that your hold on the bars and levers remains secure, and the gloves were also finished off with reflective elements throughout.
The Louis Garneau Monsoon Gloves are available in the color Black and in the sizes Small/Medium and Large/X-Large.
- Q & A
Good in the wet - why I bought them!
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
- Size Bought: L/XL
Great grip even in pouring rain. First neoprene product I have owned so wasn't sure what to expect. Fit/feel is great. Really appreciate the longer wrist. I primarily bought these for bicycling but I also wear them hiking. Cons? Not really if you know what you are getting into - I didn't find these warm at all and I wear a different pair of gloves now if the temp is 48F or lower. Feels like the wind gets right through wet or dry. Also, I was turning them inside out to dry them and avoid smell and this put too much stress on some of the seams. I can see the seams starting to give out; although I doubt this would happen if you leave them right-side out.
Would buy again!
