Nice shirt, but those buttons...

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: XL

I mostly liked this shirt. The fabric was nice and the fit was true to size, but I really didn't like the buttons. They're small, thin, and a bit cumbersome to manage. For a shirt at this price I felt the buttons could have been better. Digging the Fjallraven Ovik shirt much more.

Too small for my husband who is 6'1" and 230 pounds. Loved the color and the fabric but found the buttons to be difficult. Snaps would be nice.

Kuhl Shirt

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large
  • Size Bought: XL

Light weight breathable and Sturdy.
I would change the plastic rubber like buttons, that are hard to button and almost impossible to do one handed. Also the sleeves are narrow, so if you have big arms don't plan on rolling them up.

Best shirt in the world for staying cool

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: XXL

Funny - I now see my earlier review for the first shirt i bought for my son.
Now I bought this one for me! Best shirt i ever owned - particularly for staying cool in hot humid Florida.
I earlier bought one for my son who is a landscaper - he agrees.
We both wear them casually as well as when sailing or just being active in hot florida. This is the best and highest tech shirt either of us have ever seen.

Awesome and Fantastic

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: xxl

Could be the best shirt i ever had - exceptionally breathable and secure pockets! Looks fantastic, feels even better than that. Lot's of tech with special fabrics that breath extra well on top of arms, in pits, on back and top of back. Lots of strong stitching. I bought one at first for my son who is in landscaping in Florida and wears long sleeves but needs to keep cool as possible... this shirt is his favorite. I was so jealous, i returned to the site to buy one for me!
FYI - he is skinny 6'3" - his large size fit him fine. if you are 25lbs over like me at 6'4" 230 lbs - i went up a size to XXL and am happy that i did!

great fit

I really like the fit of the Kuhl and this shirt is no different. Easy to wear, very flexible. I don't feel stuffed or constricted. Great lines. I makes me look more fit than I really am.

Pretty Kuhl

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

Got this for my Grandpa who lives in Isreal full time. He said that it's the perfect shirt for hot days when you need to look like you know what you're doing. In typically Kuhl fashion, materials, fit, and aesthetics are spot on. No funny business here!

Great shirt

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size
  • Size Bought: Medium

First, my fit specs for those who need it (in imperial) : All measurements are done around the thickest part of that body part.

I lift regularly and am muscular, although not extremely lean.
I wear a 44 regular for suits.
42 Chest
33 Sleeve
33 Waist
17 Neck
15 Bicep
14 Forearm

The medium I got fits great for a solo-wear piece. I have no space at all to add another layer underneath . Out of the bag, the forearms were great, but after a single wash, even taking care to wash cold and dry on lowest heat setting, the shirt shrunk a tad, and now my forearms and biceps are quite hugged, although not strangled. The fit across the shoulders and chest is great with no issues there. I can raise my arms up and swing them around with no hindrance of mobility. I can't fasten the neck-button, though.

If I wanted some space to wear a shirt or some layer underneath, a large would have been great, though I believe the sleeves may have ran a bit longer.

As to the performance of the shirt itself- it's great.
I initially bought the shirt for hot weather hiking (80 Fahrenheit+), but have used it down into the 60s while keeping up a good moving pace. The backing definitely wicks sweat and is vented nicely. The underarm and side vents are also great at providing some breeze entry and heat dumping. The roll-up sleeve buttons are also a nice touch in case you need to roll up the sleeves or prefer less coverage.

Thanks for reading.

Great info! With your measurements, 44 reg is not your suit size. 42 reg with some tailored alterations for waist and sleeve length. You dont want a suit that's too big, then you're putting in your gym time just to hide it.

Just the right amount of Kuhl.

This shirt is ridiculously good-looking. So much so, that my boyfriend thinks it is actually too nice to go hiking in. I bought it as a gift for him since he loves hiking in moisture wicking button ups from Kuhl. The back panel is a lighter, mesh material which makes my boyfriend hesitant to hike in- he doesn't believe it wicks moisture away as well. However, he wears this shirt around for lighter outdoor activities and casual evenings out (and did I mention it looks really, really good?)

Excellent shirt!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Breathable and lightweight, perfect for any outdoor activity!

What size did you get?

Airy, comfortable, versatile shirt

Love this shirt, I own both the long-sleeve and this short sleeve version and both are incredibly comfortable and wick moisture and breathe well. I wear them backpacking, to the office, or out and about and everywhere I wear it its a great shirt.

The Airspeed!

This is one of the best outdoor shirts I have ever boughten. I originally bought this for a three day backpacking trip I was going on through the Sawtooth Mountains, but since then I have worn it on ever outing I have engaged in while in the outdoors. The entire design is almost completely flawless. The placement of ventilation patches allows for breathability while also protecting your skin from the sun with its SPF stitching found throughout all the material. The rubberized buttons allow for quick layering ability when taking on and off. The sunglasses cleaner is just a bonus to this awesome piece of clothing, not that I use it a lot but having it there gives me a piece of mind know that I don't have to worry about holding back in activities to worry about getting my glasses dirty. I highly recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a long sleeve shirt for layering ability or just casual outdoor wear.
