year round favorite
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
I often had problems with not being able to access my pockets, or my shell would shift around when I had a full pack on me. The high pockets of the Allgrön allow me to get to what I need even with a full hip belt on, and the fabric has a bit of a stretch to it, so moving around doesn't shift all of my layers. The waterproof membrane also isn't obnoxiously loud.
The attention to detail on this is something quite different, from the easy sleeve adjustments to the high faceguard. With this, my Brage pants, and my goggles, there's no part of me that's exposed to the harsh weather. Even in warmer weather, I still bring this along in the event of sudden rainfall or late evening warmth.
not for me

I returned this jacket before using it because it's not super functional. It's a super cute design but the pockets are on your chest and the hood isn't helmet compatible. I got it for using as a ski jacket so it just doesn't work for what i ordered it for but would be a good one to wear around town in wet weather.

I was on the hunt for a good shell for splitboarding when I came across the Allgron; I'd never tried Klattermusen before and purchased on a whim. Oh boy. Seriously killed so many birds with this one. It's waterproof, vented, stretchy, blocks wind well and is incredibly flattering on. Reviewer below calls this a softshell, but I disagree!
I'm usually a Small in jackets, but sized up because it's a Scandinavian brand and I wanted a midlayer to fit underneath... the Medium is perfect. The best part is that because it's not Gore, there's no obnoxious sound and I can get away with wearing it year-round while hiking/backpacking. So stoked on this purchase - one of the best BC finds to-date.
congratulationsï¼
Legendary Klattermusen comes to USA again. Size up cause it's a European brand. Hope BC will bring the FRODE softshell and GERE 2.0 soon. Also don't forget their fantastic backpacks- complicated but fictional. Klattermusen's craftsmanship is not the bestï¼but who careï¼For Allgronï¼thinking of a softshell that is totally waterproofï¼
