Bring the noise.
Plenty of folks say they like the peace and quiet of the trail, but Kelty's Ruckus Panel Load 28 Backpack likes to liven things up a bit with a simple, burly, and lightweight design that lets you carry the party wherever you go. An AirMesh backpanel and HDPE framesheet give the Ruckus a little bit of structure without making things clunky, and a yawning top U-zip provides easy access to a day hike's worth of gear. Outside pockets hold your water bottles, wind shell, snacks, and electronics, and two loops let you lock down your trekking poles and ice axes when it's time for some hands-free scrambling.

Good, but could be better
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Overall this pack does the job it was made to do. I can easily fit a days worth of stuff into this pack. My one complaint is with the water bottle pockets. It is such a hassle sometimes I wish I had picked another pack. They are to shallow and the elastic around the edge that is supposed to hold the bottles stretches out very quickly it is nearly worthless after a few uses. To keep a wide mouth nalgene in the pocket I have to clip to the compression strap.
