Solid Purse for a Simple Outing
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
I am a fan of the detail of the top. It is a really simple design that goes with most outfits. Not it is a small purse with minimal pockets. Which works well with my needs. I am a simple girl and tend not to carry much. If I need more space then I would need to go with a different purse. My only complaint really has to do with the strap. It adjusts, but it is a bit small of a loop. It does a nice job of laying flat, but it is a little high on the body. I prefer a lower bag.

This dude knows bags

Perfect size and amount of pockets in this purse! Allows for good organization! Strap could be just a bit longer.
looks smaller than it is! a couple nice pockets and it's cute and functional!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I kind of loved these bags when I first saw them. And I did my research- I found great reviews on lots of sites for these bags. They're a Seattle company, which I like- being from Washington State. I had very high expectations! I bought two, knowing I would love them. But I don't.
First, the canvas is stiff and rough. I have a few Dakine bags, and I like the softness of the canvas. These feel scratchy to me. I could really deal with that in the body, but when worn cross-body, the scratchy part is right under my arm. And then, too, the strap is so uncomfortable against my neck!
The pockets are nice. I like the key-holder in the front pocket, and I can also stick my phone in there. The zipper pocket in front holds meds or bandages or whatever I need to keep safer. And the big part holds quite a bit. I really like the size of this bag as an all-day bag, since I'm somewhat of a minimalist.
These bags are likely great for the right person, but they just don't work for me. *sigh*

Great little bag
I've had a Keeper for 5 years and finally wore it out - so I had to get another! Great for those of us who don't want the handbag/suitcases that are out right now, and something that wears great! The magnetic top is a good improvement (old one was velcro). Kinda disappointed that they are now made in China, but would recommend highly.
Does it zip at the top?

Really like the purse! I bought the banana rhombus - the pattern, material, and style works for business casual and weekend casual. I like the size (I'm trying to downsize my handbags a bit) and it still fits my full size wallet, cell phone, checkbook and still can fit a bunch more girlie necessities (lip balm, small brush, etc). It has several pockets with zips/velcro and a leash in one of the pockets for my keys. I agree with one of the reviewers that the Kavu logo (patch) is a bit prominent, but a few snips of the threads and it was easily removed. It's definitely a keeper!
Really like the bag
I was looking for something that would organize the items I had in my purse and it does the trick. It appeared initially that I wouldn't be able to fit all my stuff but it does, and I am really enjoying it.
can deal for the price
I didn't want to spend a lot on an everyday, "grab it quick" style of bag. I wear this bag cross body all of the time and have found 2 problems and thus my reasons for the 3 rating. I agree with the previous reviewer...the strap hurts my neck but nothing that a piece of black fleece fabric sewn onto the strap didn't fix. Second, the magnet on the main compartment kept popping open which I didn't like from a security standpoint. Again, because I sew, I simply took the magnet unit off of the bag and stitched a 5 inch velcro strip to the top of the bag. Problems solved...but don't know what you will do if you buy one of these bags and don't sew with a machine that has the guts to handle the heavy fabrics!
The strap makes me sad
I had to give this bag 4 stars because the strap really hurts my neck. I sewed a piece of soft cloth around the top to prevent my neck from getting irritated. Otherwise, I love this bag. It is great when flying to organize tickets etc. but I use pretty much everyday. I also wished it was a little bit smaller. Just a little bit, because of it's length it hits my hip at the wrong place. But I will deal because I have not found anything that compares so far.
my new bag
I love this bag. It hangs well and has plenty of separate pockets. I even love the strap...seems sturdy and durable.
The Keeper Bag is durable, and just the right size. The multiple pockets are handy.
I like the bag but I do not like the strap. I think a fabric similar to the bag would be better--and/or the ribbon detail as a strap might be nice. Also the logo is too prominent (for my taste).
wife loves it
I got this bag for my wife as a gift and she loves it. It's very tough, perfect size, and was cheap.
