Whodunnit?

Built to combat the bounce, the Kari Traa Women's Idunn Sports Bra boasts a long laundry list of activities that are more than adept at maneuvering in stride. The Idunn touts a high-impact design that's fit for running, fitness, climbing, and skiing. The Idunn is equipped with molded cups for shape and coverage, while the lightly padded straps prevent pressure from building up on your shoulders. Additionally, the adjustable back strap offers a personalized fit to ensure you're able to focus on the task at hand rather than an ill-fitting sports bra.

Great Bra, Be Mindful

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs small
  • Size Bought: 34D

If you're a big chested girl like me, I can imagine you've struggled with finding a good sports bra that is not only comfortable but one that also actually fits. I have always wrestled with finding one that keeps the girls in place but is also cute and fashionable.

I love using this bra. I love the color (I got the coral which is a LOT brighter than you think--and I wish they offered more colors!). I love the way the straps cross on my shoulder blades instead of resting its weight on my shoulders themselves. I feel like I'm locked and loaded, secure, and not to mention it gives me great cleavage. HOWEVER, it runs tight in the band itself. There were a lot of times after long hikes that I couldn't wait to get it off, simply because of how much it gripped my rib cage. I usually wear a 34D at Aerie, and a 32DDD at Victoria's Secret. If you prefer a tighter grasp around your ribs, by all means order your size, but retrospectively I would've ordered a 36C. Now, I can't wait to go run around and do all the things I wanted to do without wearing two sports bras.

Girlfriend says its a good one!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

Some initial impressions from the GF --->

It took me a while to find the right size and I needed a larger one than I expected - these are sized pretty accurately to regular cups sizes and there is no need to size down for support. It holds the goods in place without just smashing the girls as close to your ribcage as possible. I've never had a sports bra that's so similar to a regular bra before but thus far it's nice.

This bra takes the cake! If you have, um, a chest, and you've struggled to keep it together while working out, while also looking awesome in a full support sports bra [and not like a grandma], look no further. This is the best bra I've ever used. The cup shape is flattering, the shoulder straps are comfortable, the chest strap is super rigid and supportive, and I feel confident and cozy while running, climbing, lifting and well, living in it. I also love the second lower back strap to keep my heart monitor in place. Big 'thank you' to Kari Traa for developing a sports bra that is bomber and sexy.
